Europa League returns to our screens this Thursday and we've picked the brains of our in-house writing team to talk you through four games...
Europa League Gameweek 4 Tips
Toulouse vs Liverpool
- Thursday 9th November, 17:45 TNT sports 1
Liverpool needed a last-gasp Luis Diaz equaliser to salvage a point from Kenilworth Road after being given a mighty fright by Luton Town over the weekend. The Reds were miles off their best and now face a potentially tricky trip across the Channel to take on Toulouse. After his comical miss at Luton, Darwin Nunez will be desperate to make amends in a competition he does well in and we predict he will hit the target in a hard-fought Liverpool win.
Prediction: Toulouse 1-2 Liverpool
Ajax vs Brighton
- Thursday 9th November, 17:45 TNT Sports 2
Ajax have stamped two wins on the board following a horrific 10 game winless run which included four straight defeats. Brighton beat Ajax 2-0 two weeks ago, although this is their only win in six games. The Seagulls have drawn four times during this period, including two 2-2 scorelines, and I'm expecting a similar outcome on Thursday between two sides that rarely keep a clean sheet.
Jack Kitson's Prediction: Ajax 2-2 Brighton
West Ham vs Olympiacos
- Thursday 9th November, 20:00 TNT Sports 1
The clash with West Ham on Thursday night marks the 7th time the Greek side has played in the UK in the last five seasons, making it a home away from home! Olympiakos beat the Hammers 2-1 in the reverse fixture in GameWeek 3, ending West Ham's impressive 17-game unbeaten European run. Since then the form of David Moyes's team has dipped and I can see the visitors doing a smash-and-grab raid at the London Stadium
Michael Bates' Prediction: West Ham 0-1 Olympiacos
Rangers vs Sparta Prague
- Thursday 9th November, 20:00 TNT Sports 3
Rangers host Sparta Prague in their next Europa League game and the Scottish side have been more than impressive at the Ibrox this season. Sparta Prague failed to score past Rangers in their home leg and I have no faith in them managing a decent result away from home. Rangers currently on a streak of six games without a loss and with form massively on their side, Sparta Prague will have a very tough Rangers to deal with.
Steven McQuillan's Prediction: Rangers 2-0 Sparta Prague
