Thursday Acca Tips
Scotland to beat Georgia
Georgia are currently trailing second-placed Scotland by eight points in Group A and although mathematically unable to secure one of the top-two spots, the Crusaders still have a chance to qualify for the finals in Germany next summer through the play-offs, thanks to their performance in the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League.
Scotland however have booked their spot at the finals, and are now fighting it out with Spain to finish top of the group. Steve Clarke’s side have gone from strength to strength over the last two years and despite defeats to England, France and Spain in the last couple of months, the Scots can still have enough to see off a Georgia side who they beat 2-0 in a commanding performance at Hampden in June.
Austria to beat Estonia
Estonia are now winless in their last eight international matches and have endured a miserable qualifying campaign, accruing just one solitary point. Austria on the other hand have won three of their last four, which includes a double over Sweden. The only game they have failed to win in that period came against Belgium, who alongside Austria have booked their place in next summer’s tournament.
Montenegro to beat Lithuania
We now move onto the 7:45pm kick-offs where Montenegro take on Lithuania in Podgorica. The home side should have plenty of motivation to win this one considering they are third in Group G behind Serbia. Montenegro are five points behind Serbia in second, although they do have a game in hand. Lithuania have won just one of their seven Euro qualifiers and have nothing to play for but pride here.
Slovakia to beat Iceland
Rounding off our selections on Thursday is Slovakia to get the better of Iceland in Bratislava. The home side must secure at least a point to book their place at the finals in Germany and confidence will be high after they won the reverse 2-1 out in Iceland. The visitors have only won one competitive away match in the last two and a half years, which came against Liechtenstein in March. Combining the four selections above pays 5/1 with BetMGM.
