England vs Wales Prediction: Two Betting Tips, Team News & More

England lock horns with neighbours Wales in an international friendly at Wembley tonight, live on ITV 1 at 7.45pm.
The Three Lions, who are expected to be without skipper Harry Kane, came alive in their last match with a terrific 5-0 win away to Serbia in what was, without question, the best performance of Thomas Tuchel's tenure to date. Meanwhile, Wales’ early momentum under Craig Bellamy has taken a slight hit, with two defeats in their last three matches.
Read on for our two betting tips ahead of kick-off.
England vs Wales Prediction
England have won five of their six matches under Thomas Tuchel, conceding just once.
After a handful of underwhelming and uninspiring displays, The Three Lions burst into life with a commanding 5-0 win in Serbia, extending their competitive winning streak to eight successive wins - with clean sheets in each of the last seven.
History also favours England here. They’ve beaten Wales in seven straight meetings dating back to 1983, conceding just one goal in that time, while the last two meetings have finished 3-0 to England.
We originally backed Harry Kane at 7/2 to score twice, given his incredible form: 18 goals in just 10 games for Bayern Munich this season, with 2+ goals in seven matches, including five of his last six.
However, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Kane is an injury concern and that the skipper is expected to be rested in the hope of a full recovery ahead of the clash with Latvia.
As a result, our focus shifts to Marcus Rashford. The 27-year-old bagged a brace in England’s 3-0 win over Wales at the 2022 World Cup and looks revitalised since his summer move to Barcelona, where he’s registered eight goal involvements in just 10 matches.
He also scored against Sevilla at the weekend and was on target in England’s 5-0 rout of Serbia during September’s international break.
England vs Wales Team News
The big news is that Thomas Tuchel isn't expected to risk Harry Kane, who picked up a knock during his last game for Bayern Munich.
Saka has returned to the England set-up, but Tuchel has left out the likes of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Jack Grealish, while Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Tino Livramento, and Reece James are sidelined through injury, with Nico O'Reilly replacing the latter.
Wales are without Aaron Ramsey and Dan James.
