England vs Latvia Prediction, Lineups and Odds: 11/2 double at Wembley

England will round off the March international break on Monday when they host Latvia at Wembley.
Matthew O’Regan has previewed the game and showcased his best bets, including an 11/2 double.
England vs Latvia Predictions
The first game of Thomas Tuchel’s reign was typical of a German-managed side: effectiveness over entertainment. The Three Lions emerged 2-0 victors thanks to a Miles Lewis Skelly and Harry Kane goal in either side of the break. England dominated throughout, ending with 74% possession, limiting their Albanian visitors to just 0.06 xG.
It marked four straight wins for England who have scored 13 goals in this time, with the win over Albalia putting them top of their World Cup qualifying group. Tuchel went for a mix of experience and youth, with Dan Burn (32) making his debut, while Kyle Walker and Marcus Rashford were recalled. Curtis Jones was given just his third cap and Miles Lewis-Skelly (18) was given his debut. Phil Foden disappointed in his 74 minutes, while Anthony Gordon has pulled out with an injury, so it remains to be seen who starts on Monday night.
Latvia, ranked 140 in the world, come into this game after scraping past Andorra 0-1 in a lacklustre performance. It was 11 Vilki’s first win in four attempts since beating Faroe Islands 1-0. If Paolo Nicolato’s side are to pull off the unthinkable, Janis Ikaunieks will be key. The 30-year-old registered 37 goal contributions for club side RFS last season, including nine goal contributions in 12 Europa League appearances.
Dan Burn has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks in recent years. The 32-year-old has gone from Darlington and Wigan to now being an England international. The 6’7 centre back was impressive in his international debut, so will likely be rewarded with another start.
While he is only averaging 0.52 shots per 90 in the Premier League, he recorded three shots on his debut. England should rack up plenty of corners and create plenty of set piece chances against a Latvia side who have conceded a shot to a centre back in their last four matches.
136 places separate the sides in the national rankings, so England should have no issue keeping the visitors quiet. Against Albania, who are 65 ranked in the world, the Three Lions conceded just 0.06 xG and have now kept a clean sheet in the last three games.

Latvia set up in a 5-2-2-1 formation in the win against Andorra and will likely set up in the same formation as they look to frustrate England. Roberts Savalnieks should play right wing back again. The 32-year-old has made at least two fouls (with super sub) in 4/6 international appearances. He was also booked in both international appearances in November.
He will likely face up against Miles Lewis Skelly. The talented teen drew two fouls on debut, with Jasir Asani, playing right midfield, making two fouls. Lewis Skelly has drawn 2.70 fouls per 90 in the Premier League, so Savalnieks will be in for a busy afternoon.
