England U21 vs Germany U21 Prediction: Best Betting Tips, Team News & More

England Under-21’s have taken four points from their first two group games at the Under-21 European Championships and need at least a point against Germany to ensure their progression to the knockout stages.
Germany have already qualified after winning both of their opening two games and anything but a defeat for Antonio Di Salvo’s side would confirm them as group winners.
However, Lee Carsley’s men could still miss out on progressing if they lose and Slovenia win, although the Central Europeans would also need a five-goal swing on goal difference.
The match kicks off at 8pm on Wednesday at the Stadion pod Zoborom in Nitra, Slovakia and is available to watch on Channel 4.

England U21 vs Germany U21 Tips
England were blanked by Slovakia in their second group game, failing to score despite their 20 shots at goal, but that was in sweltering conditions and there was enough in their opening 3-1 win over the Czech Republic to suggest that they can trouble this Germany side.
However, it looks like they will have to go on the attack as the Germans are the top scorers in the tournament with seven goals in their first two matches.
In total, Di Salvo’s team have netted 36 goals in their last 10 games and that should worry a Young Lions defence that does not look as strong as the one that saw them win the last European Championships without conceding.
Both teams have netted in four of England’s last five games and nine of Germany’s last 10 matches have gone over 2.5 goals so this looks set to be a back-and-forth affair in which there should be plenty of goalmouth action.
The standout performer from this year’s Under-21 European Championships so far has been Nick Woltemade, who has netted four times in two matches.
The rangy striker reportedly has a wealth of Premier League suitors after netting 17 times for Stuttgart in all competitions last season and it is not hard to see why.
The German forward looks to have a solid chance of getting on the scoresheet again.
England U21 vs Germany U21 Team News
Germany Under-21 manager Di Salvo has named an unchanged team for both of the group games his side have played thus far but he will not have that luxury this time around after central defender Max Rosenfelder picked up yellow cards in each outing, meaning he will miss out here through suspension.
Tim Oermann could replace him in the back line, while there is a possibility that Di Salvo will rotate somewhat given the fact that his side have already qualified for the knockout stages.
Lee Carsley faces a few selection issues for England Under-21’s. He may opt for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri ahead of Omari Hutchinson, while Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney looks set to battle it out with Bournemouth’s Alex Scott for a spot in midfield.
The lineups for England U21 vs Germany U21 will be displayed below approximately one hour before kick-off.
