England may have suffered defeat for only the second time in 39 matches under Sarina Wiegman - and first competitively - in the 1-0 World Cup final defeat to Spain, yet the Lionesses can look back on yet another fantastic tournament.
A new task is on the horizon in the inaugural Nations League, a new trophy they will be attempting to add to their European Championship crown from 2022.
England return to the field against Scotland, who they've not faced in four years, in their opening game in Group A1, which also contains Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Scots missed out on the World Cup after they lost to the Republic of Ireland in the play-offs, however, they are enjoying a four game winning run and haven't lost in six games dating back to February.
Still, it would be quite a shock if the visitors were to defeat England on their own patch, which is reflected in the betting where you'll find the hosts as short as 1/11 to return to winning ways, Scotland are out at 16/1, whereas a draw can be backed at 5/1.

England have an ideal opportunity to bounce back from their World Cup heartbreak at home to the Scots, with the Stadium of Light expected to be packed full.
The Lionesses have only been defeated once on home soil under Wiegman, a friendly defeat to Australia, which they avenged in the summer when they beat the World Cup co-hosts 3-1 in the semi-finals in front of a raucous home crowd.
There may be 19 places between England (4th) and Scotland (23rd) in the World Rankings, but Wiegman's troops certainly won't be underestimating a team in decent form that contains Bayern Munich's Sam Kerr and Real Madrid's Caroline Weir in their ranks.
However, this is an ultra-talented and experienced England side that will be confident of opening their Nations League account with the win.
England are as short as 1/11 to win so I've instead set my sights on an England to win to nil at 59/50, which has been a fruitful bet for us here at BettingOdds.
I was expecting this price to be odds-on across the board, but while it is with the likes of Sky Bet and BoyleSports, the 59/50 on offer with BetUK and UniBet represents excellent value.
