England vs. Ireland 2nd ODI Tips: 5/1 and 11/2 bets at Trent Bridge

After a complete wash-out in the first ODI, fans will be praying for some cricket in Nottingham as England face Ireland at Trent Bridge on Saturday.
England’s experimental squad, captained by Zak Crawley, includes five uncapped players and a host of exciting young talent. With two places on the plane to India as travelling reserves in England’s Cricket World Cup squad still left, there’s every chance a match-winning performance here could have Jos Buttler and Matthew Mott interested.
Despite the fact they have picked what is essentially a reserve squad, England should still have enough to beat Ireland, which is why they are so heavily favoured with the bookies and Matt Banks picks his two favourite bets for the game...
England vs Ireland Tips
Sam Hain has been banging down the door for an England white ball call-up for years, and has been a consistent scorer of big runs and match-winning innings.
The one knock against him for so long was his strike rate wasn’t good enough and he has said himself that he has been working on going through the gears quicker in recent years.
It has clearly worked, as he has been plundering runs in the T20 Blast, The Hundred and the BBL.
This series is a great opportunity for Hain to show his ability and prove on an international stage why he has a List A average of over 57 - we’re banking on him to anchor the innings and go big.
Lorcan Tucker’s ODI batting average is not reflective of how talented a cricketer he is, but has shown on the franchise circuit and in Ireland’s limited Test matches that he has the ability to perform at the highest level.
He has struggled against England in the past but is a gutsy cricketer and has the tools to get a big score in a game like this. England will be going into this game with an inexperienced attack and Tucker will support the Ireland middle order with an overdue big innings.
