England vs India Odds: Back Bairstow to continue his stunning run of form

The games continue to come thick and fast for England's white ball squad. After losing the T20 series 2-1, they now face India again in three 50-over One Day Internationals. First up on Tuesday we are at the Oval.
Here at BettingOdds.com, we're gonna be with you every step of the way as your home of cricket and our man Adam Roberts is on hand yet again to pick out two bets for your attention.
England vs. India Tips
England were pretty disappointing in the T20 series but at least managed to get over the line in the 3rd match to make the series score a little more respectable. Their bowling, in particular, looked a shade weaker than India's and while Reece Topley and Chris Jordan bowled well at times, they look short of that x-factor without the genuine pace of the injured Mark Wood and Jofra Archer and the guile and trickery of mystery spin king Adil Rashid, who has been taking part in hajj pilgrimage at Mecca. Speaking of x-factor, with the longer white ball format comes the return of England's test stars, namely Ben Stokes and the hero Yorkshire duo of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow.
India play a very similar team to their T20 side but will bring in the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Mohammed Shami to beef up the batting and bowling options. Virat Kohli will likely keep his place as he attempts to play his way out of a terrible run of form. The extra overs on offer should help him some what.
The Oval has produced absolute roads this season with some massive scores taking place and we've no reason to think that might change on Tuesday. Expect a run fest...
Predicted team news:
England XI: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (c & wk), Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, David Willey, Matt Parkinson, Reece Topley.
India XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal.
As mentioned earlier, The Oval wicket is generally flat as a pancake and superb for batting on. While it can be a little spicy with the new ball, the bounce is generally true and a batter can play with fluency and confidence, once in. India displayed new-found aggression in the T20's and we know exactly what brand of cricket England are playing these days. The two teams scored over 200 in the last T20 and I think that 300 in 30 more overs is definitely achievable. The 9/5 on offer for both sides to do so is my main selection.
One of the returning heroes is featured in my second pick. Jonny Bairstow will likely be opening here, unlike in the tests where he was batting at five, and if he gets through the first few overs will be a real tough ask for anyone to catch. Bairstow looks like a changed man under the new leadership and this should translate nicely into the 50 over game. The 9/2 on offer at Paddy Power and Betfair looks very good value, especially compared to the 11/4 on offer elsewhere. For a man in his kind of form and opening the innings, it's a ridiculously good price.
