England vs India Odds: Back Buttler's boys to keep the momentum going in the T20s

England vs India Odds
Can this summer get any better for the England cricket team? They've demolished the World Test Champions New Zealand 3-0, set the world record score for an ODI and now broke their record for a 4th innings chase, to level the delayed test series with India. There is an absolutely rammed summer schedule to follow with T20's and ODI's against India and South Africa as well as a three match Test series against the latter.
Here at BettingOdds.com, we're gonna be with you every step of the way as your home of cricket and our man Adam Roberts is on red hot form, having picked out two more winners including Jonny Bairstow MOTM at 10/1 in the India test match. He's previewed the first T20I at the AGEAS Bowl and has picked out three more selections for you.
England vs India Tips
How good is it to be an England cricket supporter right now? After the monotony of the 1980s and 90s and the downright depressing cricket of the last couple of years, it is simply a breath of fresh air to see The Lions playing such a positive, expansive , aggressive brand of cricket in all formats. Whether it's Root and Bairstow batting on a different level under 'Bazball' in the Tests or the likes of Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone thrash the ball to all parts in the white ball format, there is something new and exciting about the whole regime under the new hierachy.
Speaking of which, this will be England's first game under their new white ball skipper Buttler, after the inevitable but still sad retirement of legendary former captain Eoin Morgan. It was definitely the right move from Morgan to usher in the new talent at England's disposal as his batting form no longer justified his place. Now can Buttler take the team forward at a vital time? - with two limited overs World Cup's on the horizon in the next 18 months.
First up, after the absolute mismatch but fun jaunt that was the Netherland's tour, comes some serious opposition in the form of India and South Africa with three T20's and three ODI's against each over the next month.
India will be bang up for this one after the devastating manner of their loss in the 5th test at Edgbaston and multi-format captain Rohit Sharma will be itching to get back to the coal face after being rested and then testing positive for COVID.
Likely team news:
England - Jos Buttler (C/WK), Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, Matthew Parkinson, Reece Topley, Tymal Mills
India - Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma (C), Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan
First up and I'm taking England to continue their winning streak in all formats, at a tick over 8/11 at SBK.
India possess some serious IPL talent but under home conditions and in this kind of mood England look pretty unstoppable. India were pushed close in their two T20 warm up matches against Ireland in Malahide and this England team contains some serious firepower. The fact that they are likely to leave out the likes of Phil Salt at the top of the order shows exactly how strong they are right now. If Roy doesn't get you, Buttler will. If he doesn't, Malan will grind out a ton. If he doesn't fire, then you have Brook, Livingstone, Ali and Curran. Scary.
Talking of Buttler, I was surprised to see him boosted out to 3/1 for top England batter. We tipped up Jos in the recent ODI against Holland at 4/1 knowing he was in the middle order and he still came through with the goods thanks to a mindblowing 162* off 70 balls. Here in the shorter format, he will likely be opening the batting with Jason Roy and in his current form that price looks very tasty. His record in recent matches reads as follows: 89, 106*, 39, 162*, 86*, 42.
If India don't get him out early, he will surely top score.
I've also spotted a boost at William Hill on Buttler to top score and England to win which is way out at 6/1. I'll also be having a nibble on that too.
