Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool Betting Tips: Nunez to find the net at Selhurst Park

Live on Sky Sports main event on Saturday evening, Crystal Palace host Liverpool, kicking-off at 7:45pm. We’ve provided you with two tips for the game which we think represent good value in the betting markets.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Odds
Crystal Palace are 12th in the Premier League table but are on a poor run of seven top-flight matches without a win. Patrick Vieira’s side have seen their last two fixtures both finish 1-1 against Brighton and Brentford. The Eagles will be without key man Wilfried Zaha for this clash, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
At 8:15pm on Tuesday evening Liverpool fans were in clover as their side went 2-0 up against Real Madrid Anfield. An hour or so later and The Reds had lost the game 5-2 in a humiliating defeat which saw them concede five goals at home for the first time in the Champions League.
Since these two teams played out a 3-3 draw back in 2014, in a game which partly stopped Liverpool winning the title, and was subsequently named ‘Crystanbul’, the pair have met nine times at Selhurst Park in all competitions. Liverpool have won the last eight of those and have scored two or more goals in all of them.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Preview
First up it’s a pick from the player fouls market, in the form of Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell. In all competitions the left-back has committed 1+ foul in eight of his last nine appearances.
On Saturday evening Mitchell will be up against Mo Salah, who has drawn five fouls across his last two league appearances. Besides the strong streak of fouls from Mitchell in recent weeks, price is certainly a factor in our thinking here. Betfair and Paddy Power go just 2/9 on this same selection, giving tons of appeal to the 6/5 on show with Unibet.
One player we feel is growing in confidence by the week at the moment is Darwin Nunez and we are backing him on Saturday to score and commit 2+ fouls, which is on offer at 7/1 with either Betfair or Paddy Power.
Nunez has scored twice in the last week, with goals against both Newcastle and Real Madrid, and has now notched in three of his last five starts in all competitions. What is interesting though, is that in the last three games that Nunez has scored, he has also given away 2+ fouls. With this in mind 7/1 looks a backable price with Betfair or Paddys, thanks to their Bet Builder feature.
