The Blues, 6th, just need to avoid defeat to jump into the top-4 above Newcastle and Man City, while 15th-placed West Ham can leapfrog Tottenham and Man Utd if they claim the spoils tonight.

Chelsea vs West Ham Predictions
The Blues will he hopeful of halting a poor spell which has seen them win just one of their last seven Premier League fixtures, a run of form which has pundits drawing parallels to Enzo Maresca’s time in charge at Leicester last season.
West Ham have a new man at the helm in former Chelsea boss Graham Potter and they looked impressive in the second half last time out against Aston Villa, perhaps showing signs that his new look back five is starting to bear fruit.
As well as the obvious dislike between the two clubs, this game has an extra layer of spice with Potter desperate to prove he was dismissed too soon at Stamford Bridge.
Those two ingredients alone would suggest plenty of foul play but the data also backs that assumption up handsomely too. Chelsea are the Premier League’s fourth most fouled side, drawing 12 per game. They also have a high defensive line - more on that later - which means at home they’re averaging 13.45 free kicks per game.
In Potter’s four games in charge, West Ham have been combative, giving away free kick totals of 20, 14, 14 and 8 at an average of 14 per game.
At the other end, under Potter, West Ham have drawn 14.75 free kicks per game themselves, with totals of 15 and 17 on the road. Foul magnets Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta have drawn plenty of those but when Chelsea are giving away 14.82 free picks per game on their own patch, it’s easy to imagine the Hammers getting at least 11 - especially as 10 of 11 visiting sides to Stamford Bridge have covered this line.

Helping those free kick counts are any offsides that come in the game and whilst Chelsea are well known for their offside trap, West Ham are also showing signs of a high line too.
The Hammers have drawn five offsides from two trips to Villa Park under their new boss and with Villa only averaging 1.26 offsides per game in the Premier League, this suggests that on their travels, West Ham are looking to defend aggressively. Chelsea average 2.45 offsides per game at home and have had at least two in each of their last five when hosting.
Enzo Maresca has deployed a high defensive line all season which has resulted in Chelsea drawing the second most offsides in the division at 2.57 per game. In the reverse fixture West Ham were caught twice and with them having been caught going early on 12 occasions in just four matches under Potter, there’s every reason to expect them to do so again to land this bet for us.
