Chelsea vs Arsenal Prediction, Odds and Lineups: 9/1 double tipped in Sunday's showdown
Chelsea and Arsenal take centre stage in the Premier League this afternoon when they clash at Stamford Bridge.
Tipster Wizard has previewed the match and picked out his best two bets in the capital, including a 9/1 double in the cards market.
Chelsea vs Arsenal Predictions
Enzo Maresca’s men bounced back from their 1-1 draw against Manchester United by hammering FC Noah 8-0 in the UEFA Conference League to maintain their perfect winning record in that competition. They sit fourth in the Premier League table with 18 points and will be hoping for another positive result to keep themselves in the Champions League positions.
As for Arsenal, they sit fifth in the league table with 18 points but a lower goal difference puts them just below Chelsea. Their form has dipped in recent weeks, winning just once on the road in their last six games against lower league Preston in the EFL Cup. They have now lost their last two games without scoring a goal against Inter Milan and Newcastle and another tough trip to Stamford Bridge awaits them.
However, Arsenal have a great record at Stamford Bridge in recent seasons, as they are on a five game unbeaten run at this venue and they will be hoping to extend that run. Chelsea have also just kept one clean sheet in their last nine games in all competitions and they are vulnerable in defence, something that Arsenal can capitalise on.
A blockbuster Sunday main event awaits us, and I have included my two best bets for the clash in the preview below:
Wesley Fofana is averaging the second most fouls per game (1.9) for Chelsea in the Premier League this season. He has committed a foul in all of his 11 league starts, so this selection has a 100% winning record this season. He has been very aggressive in his tackles and has been constantly fouling opponents on the break. Up against a tough side in Arsenal, I expect him to be forced into committing a few fouls on the counter.
I am backing Kai Havertz for fouls this season regularly and he has delivered every time. He is averaging the most fouls per game (1.9) for Arsenal this season, having committed a foul in 14/14 starts so far this season in all competitions, fouling opposition defenders as he is very eager to win the ball high up the field for his side.
Moises Caicedo has been phenomenal for Chelsea this season, averaging the most tackles per game (3.5) in the Premier League. He has registered two or more tackles in nine of his ten league appearances and also hit two tackles the last time he faced Arsenal. In his five home games in the Premier League this season, he has registered 4,3,3,5 & 2 tackles respectively. Up against a tough opposition in Arsenal, he will have plenty of opportunities to put in a tackle so I expect this selection to sail in.

Wesley Fofana is Chelsea’s most booked player with six yellow cards to his name. He has been booked in six of his last seven league games as he continues to commit cynical fouls on the break that are worthy of a booking. He will be up against the likes of Martinelli, Odegaard and Havertz and with Arsenal expected to try and hit Chelsea on the counter, Fofana will be a very busy man come Sunday.
As for Kai Havertz, he averages the most fouls per game for Arsenal this season and coming back to Stamford Bridge he will have a point to prove. He celebrated excessively after scoring against his old club last season in a 5-0 thrashing and I expect him to be very aggressive in his challenges against his old club. The fans are expected to be booing him whenever he gets the ball so we could possibly see a reaction which could very well land him in the referee’s book.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
