Chelsea vs. Dinamo Zagreb Betting Tips: Take on Jorginho in the passes market
Chelsea face Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday and we’ve previewed the action and provided you with two data-driven tips that we like the look of.
Graham Potter’s side have already secured top spot in Group E, with their opponents in Matchday 6 still having the opportunity to to qualify for the latter stages of the Europa League. Chelsea were given a 4-1 thumping away at Brighton last weekend, which brought to an end Potter’s nine game unbeaten run since taking charge of the Blues.
Zagreb have only won one of their last six matches in all competitions but do however have the chance to become only the second team in Champions League history to do the double over Chelsea in a group campaign. Swiss side Basel are the only side to do so, when they completed a famous double over Chelsea back in 2013/2014.
Plenty of changes are expected from Graham Potter with Armando Broja, Hakim Ziyech, and Cesar Azpilicueta all set to feature at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea vs Dinamo Zagreb Tips
The first of our two selections from Stamford Bridge on Wednesday is for Italian midfielder Jorginho to have under 64.5 passes in the match at 5/6. This can be placed by putting on the same bet for Over 64.5 passes, before then clicking ‘edit bet’ in the ‘my bets’ section and then changing to Under 64.5 passes rather than Over.
The 30-year-old is averaging 47.2 passes per game in the Premier League this season and has only managed 65 or more passes in three of his eleven top-flight matches. In the Champions League it’s a similar story with this bet for Under 64.5 landing in four of his five group matches that he has featured in. Zagreb still have something to play for in terms of the consolation prize that is the Europa League and we fancy them to give Chelsea a good game here.
We will also be using the bet365 Bet Builder feature for our second selection where we are backing Ruben Loftus-Cheek to have Over 1.5 shots and both teams to be shown at least a card. This comes out at 7/2 with bet365 and with Chelsea expected to rotate heavily, Ruben Loftus-Cheek should benefit and have plenty of chances to get forward and let off shots. In his most recent home start which came against Manchester United, the midfielder let off two shots with one of those hitting the target and he looks a little overpriced at 9/4 for 2+ shots here, with the same bet at evens with Paddy Power.
Can Harry Kane become England's leading scorer at World Cup 2022?
French referee Francois Letexier will be the man with the whistle for this Champions League clash. Domestically, Letexier is averaging 4.29 yellows per game this season and has given each team a card in his last six Ligue 1 matches. Combining both sides to receive a card, with Loftus-Cheek Over 1.5 shots pays just north of 7/2.
