Cameroon vs. Brazil Betting Tips: The best bets for Group G finale
Group G is set for an exciting conclusion on Friday as Cameroon bid to upset already-qualified-Brazil and book their place in the last-16 of World Cup 2022.
Tom Winch has previewed the match and delivered us a couple of his best bets...
Lusail Iconic Stadium is the setting for a huge match as Cameroon play the competition favourites, Brazil. The African outfit have to beat Tite’s side to have any chance of reaching the knockout stages.
Rigobert Song’s side lost their opening game to Switzerland in Al Wakrah by just a single goal in a game that lacked any real quality.
They then looked dead and buried against the Serbs a few days later, before Vincent Aboubakar entered the field on the 55th minute and made an instant impact as he scored and assisted within 10 minutes of coming on to earn his side a 3-3 draw.
Brazil have already confirmed a place in the last 16, they’ve earned maximum points against both European sides and kept clean sheets in each clash, Cameroon will need to play extremely well to earn a much-needed result here.
No African team has beaten Brazil since 2003: Rigobert Song was the captain on the day in a famous 1-0 win.
Cameroon vs Brazil Tips
A slightly different approach to this game where it’s all or nothing for Cameroon, so at some stage they’ll have no choice but to go all out and try and find the back of the net against what could be a rotated Brazilian XI.
This selection has cashed in both games so far involving the African side and their opponents. They had eight shots and forced the Swiss to six goal kicks. They were massively better in the game against Serbia in which they had 13 shots whilst four goal kicks were awarded.
Although this bet failed to win for Serbia or Switzerland when they faced Brazil, this upcoming game has plenty more at stake for the side in question. The impressive comeback against Serbia will provide plenty of confidence to the Cameroonian squad and they’ll come out fighting in Lusail.
Again, the same selection but higher lines here, the emphasis is completely on Cameroon to give this a good go.
They have the attacking players to cause a threat with the likes of Choupo-Moting, Ekambi, Vincent Aboubakar and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo in the squad.
I’d like to see Aboubakar make his first start in the tournament on Friday evening, the 32 year old made all the difference within the 36 minutes that he was active on the pitch against Serbia.
Of course, Brazil are arguably the best side in the tournament so it wont be an easy game whatsoever for Cameroon who are priced as big as 7/1 to earn victory here and are 8/11 just to find the back of the net.
The Shot and Goal Kick route may be the best bet here, Brazil have been a stubborn outfit in their previous two outings and may run away with the points but as long as Cameroon can provide some attacking output, we may just have a chance.
