BTTS Tips: FA Cup and Premier League games to provide the goals this weekend

It’s not long now until the World Cup begins which means an unfortunate break to the Football League so we’ll have to make the most of it whilst we can. We’ll be taking a look at four BTTS selections that we think are decent value for this weekend and combine them into a four-fold acca.
Your bog-standard 3pm kick-offs this weekend are mostly being replaced with FA Cup ties which will hopefully prove to be a bit more exciting than your standard league fixtures, but without further ado, let’s start talking about the bets.
Leeds vs Bournemouth
It feels like Leeds are always finding themselves in for a goalfest whenever they’re playing these days, unfortunately, the goals haven’t really been in favour of them in the past few games despite a stunning victory over Liverpool in their last game.
Before the best win of their season so far, Leeds were on an eight streak without a win and only managing two points from a possible 24. They’ve looked really shaky at the back but no matter the opponent, they seem to find the back of the net somehow. Leeds have seen BTTS land in 7/12 games this season meaning 58% of their games this season have seen both teams score.
Leeds are hosting Bournemouth this weekend, a team who are just one place above them in the table. Bournemouth have surprised a fair few this season with most thinking they’d be right in the relegation mix but have actually had a fair few decent results so far.
Bournemouth have managed to score six goals in their last four away games, and have only lost one of their last four away fixtures, I think with how Leeds are defensively at the moment, Bournemouth shouldn’t have too much of an issue finding a goal, and we all know Leeds are ones for scoring, I think that makes this a solid pick at 7/10 for BTTS and will also start off our weekend picks.

QPR vs West Brom
Here we’ve got two teams at opposite ends of the table with QPR being all the way up in fourth and West Brom being stuck right at 23rd just above Huddersfield. QPR have been sensational this season all things considered and West Brom really have disappointed.
These two teams will be the ones that everyone are looking for when it comes to their BTTS accas as this two boast some of the highest percentages when it comes to both teams scoring. QPR currently sit second in the league for the most BTTS games at home and when it comes to away matches, West Brom are leading the charts with 75% of their away fixtures having both teams score.
Despite this massive gap in the table between these two teams, the bookmakers see this as being a closer game than some might think with QPR being priced at 6/4 despite clearly being the better side this season. With the bookmakers not even being sure which way this game is going to go, you’d really fancy either team to score and with both having such a high amount of games seeing both teams score, I’d think this is a great pick for BTTS.
Bristol Rovers vs Rochdale
The first of the FA Cup fixtures for the weekend BTTS and it comes from the Bristol Rovers game against Rochdale. Here we’ve got a Leauge one vs League Two clash in what I’m hoping will be a very open game with some decent chances presented to the visitors.
It’s no surprise that Rovers come into this game as the odds on favourites with them being the league above their opponents, but it’s been a fairly rough ride for them in League One this season. They’re currently three games without a win despite scoring five goals in three games. At the moment they seem to be the kings of BTTS with all three of their recent results seeing both teams score and having a home percentage of 75% when it comes to seeing both teams on the scoresheet.
Rochdale seem bang out of form at the moment but one redeeming aspect is there away form where they have managed nine points out of a possible 12 in their last four games and scoring three of their last four. With it being an FA Cup fixture you’ve always got to believe in the underdog and I feel that they can give the struggling Bristol Rovers a bit of a test.
Man City vs Fulham
A fairly risky one to finish off the BTTS selections for the weekend. Man City host Fulham on Saturday and come in as the overwhelming 1/9 favourites for the game. At first glance many would expect Man City to absolutely smash Fulham and whilst they probably will, don’t expect Fulham to roll over for Pep Guardiola’s superteam.
Fulham have got a stunning scoring record this season and more impressively, they always seem to manage a goal on the road. In their away fixtures this season they’ve seen BTTS land in 5/6 of their games which converts to 83% of their games on the road. Mitrovic really has been exceptional this season and is slowly turning out to be one of the top strikers in the league.
Man City are of course massive favourites to win this one so hasving them score a goal shouldn’t be an issue at all, but with Fulham getting away goals at Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham this season, don’t expect it to be the easiest game City have had this season.
With that being our final selection we’ve ended up with a BTTS four-fold that is currently playing 11.22/1 with Betfair, hopefully, that proves to be a decent bet! As always good luck to everyone that is following along!
