BTTS Tips: Four fixtures that we fancy to see goals this Saturday

The World Cup is rapidly approaching meaning the unfortunate pause for a few leagues, but before that happens we’ve got to make the most of the Premier League and Football league whilst we can.
We’ve focused on the both teams to score market for this weekend and picked out four fixtures that we think could involve a fair few goals. Starting off in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace are proving to be quite a handy team in the Premier League this season under Patrick Vieira, in fact they’ve actually managed the same amount of wins as Liverpool and have already tested Chelsea and Manchester City more than other teams.
On the other hand, Southampton have had an unfortunate start to their season, but the fans will be buzzing with their last result where they managed to take a point off league leaders Arsenal. Southampton haven’t necessarily had issues scoring so far this season, they have the same amount of goals as West Ham, Everton and Aston Villa but are still behind them in the table.
I think that is what makes this a great pick for BTTS. On top of that, Crystal Palace have had both teams scoring in 83% of their games at Selhurst Park this season, the second highest in the league behind Arsenal who are boasting a 100% record of both teams scoring at home.
Despite Wigan’s shaky patch of form, the bookmakers have their game quite close. Wigan are priced at 2/1 for a win at home with Watford being the favourites at 11/8. Nine places separate the two teams so you’d really think Watford would be more favoured but Wigan have proved they are more than capable of scoring goals.
Wigan are actually the joint best team in the league for both teams scoring with 69% of their games and finishing with both teams on the scoresheet. Watford have also seen it happen more often than not with 9/16 of their games having BTTS land.
Watford have been a tad bit disappointing this season where they find themselves in 10th place, losing five games and drawing five, the other six being wins. Wigan have managed to score in all but two of their games at home this season and Watford have shown they are a bit shaky at the back conceding nine goals in their last five games. You’d really fancy both teams to be having a fair crack at this one and expect it to be a very open game.
Down to League One we go where Bolton host Oxford United in a game which could see the Wanderers move up into third place thanks to two wins on the bounce. Oxford have been disappointing as of late only managing to win one of their last seven games in the league.
Bolton have looked great in League One this season, but are still lacking that consistency to put them right in the mix at the top of the table. One thing they have been excellent at is winning games at home this season where they are undefeated in seven games. I think seeing them scoring in this fixture should be no problem and they actually come into this game as favorites with the bookmakers.
Oxford have been a tough team to back this season but one thing they are great for is the BTTS punters. Oxford currently have the highest BTTS percentage in the league with 64% of their games seeing both teams to score, and four of their seven away fixtures also having BTTS land. Oxford have arguably had more success on the road where they’ve actually scored six in their last five away trips. Expect Bolton to be dominating most of the game but don’t be surprised to see Oxford sneak a goal or two.

Finishing the accumulator off is a trip down to League Two where Doncaster will be playing host to Gillingham. Despite Doncaster being fairly solid this season sitting in 12th position, they are carrying a worrying statistic with them which is where they have conceded more than they have scored in the league.
Eight places separate these two teams and Gillingham have been a team out of sorts as of late so it should come as no surprise to see Doncaster come in as favourites for this fixture. Doncaster are boasting the best both teams to score percentage in the league this season with 63% of their games having both teams find success in the goals department. More convincing is their BTTS percentage at home which is a whopping 75%. Six of their eight games at home this season has seen the bet land which makes it perfect for this market.
Gillingham are by no means world beaters but expect them to expose what has been a fragile defence from Doncaster. This will also finish off our BTTS acca for the weekend which is priced at 11.14/1 with William Hill and can be boosted to 12.38/1 with their acca freedom feature.
