BTTS Accumulator Tips
Tottenham vs Everton
Tottenham were the go-to outfit for both teams to score last season and Ange Postecoglou's side displayed that trait again in their season opener against Leicester on Monday. Spurs should have been out of sight by half-time but only scored once, with Jamie Vardy equalising after the interval and only a very strong left hand from Guglielmo Vicario stopping the veteran forward doubling his tally.
Everton were toothless at home to Brighton last week but with Spurs having enjoyed 71 per cent possession on Monday and still found a way to concede, the Toffees can probably find a way through. Both teams scored in 27 of Tottenham's league games last season.
Fulham vs Leicester
The aforementioned Vardy looked a menace on Monday for the Foxes despite failing to get a proper pre-season behind him. Leicester head for Craven Cottage on Saturday to face a Fulham side waiting for their first goal.
They showed glimpses of quality in the attacking third against Manchester United, with summer signing Emile Smith Rowe unfortunate on a couple of occasions not to get into decent shooting positions.
Leicester scored 89 times in the Championship last season and Steve Cooper's side showed enough in the second half against Spurs to be confident they'll hold their own in this sort of company over the season.
Sunderland vs Burnley
Sunderland and Burnley are among the early Championship pacesetters with two wins each behind them. The Clarets have adapted seamlessly to life back in the second tier, firing four past Luton on the road and then hitting Cardiff for five at home.
The Black Cats were 2-0 winners at Cardiff before thumping Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 at the Stadium Of Light last weekend.
Regis Le Bris will be thrilled with his start on Wearside but Burnley and Scott Parker represent a significant test. This should be an entertaining clash.
Norwich vs Sheffield United
Norwich and Sheffield United meet at Carrow Road with both teams coming off 2-2 draws last weekend.
The Canaries scored twice in the second half against Blackburn to turn their game around but couldn't hold on for the win.
It was even more disappointing for the Blades as they were 2-0 up inside 15 minutes at home to QPR but coughed up two second half goals, including an 88th minute leveller after the Hoops were reduced to 10 men. Goals can flow in East Anglia.
