Brighton vs Tottenham Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Back in-form Brennan Johnson to shine

Brighton and Tottenham meet on Sunday afternoon on the south coast, live on Sky Sports at 4:30pm.
An action-packed clash is likely between the two sides. There have been 18 goals in Brighton’s six matches, with 17 arriving in clashes involving Spurs.
Brighton vs Tottenham Predictions
Brennan Johnson has been superb in recent weeks. The Welshman has found the back of the net in his previous five appearances. His confidence levels will be sky-high. I’m expecting another impressive display from Tottenham’s number 22.
The former Nottingham Forest man has registered a SOT in five of his six Premier League appearances in 24/25. Leicester (1), Everton (0), Newcastle (1), Arsenal (1), Brentford (2) & Manchester United (1). Brennan has scored in both European fixtures and in the EFL Cup. He’s a man on top of his game.
Brighton suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend. Chelsea scored four inside the first half in a rampant display. Brighton’s high line didn’t work. The hosts could’ve scored a handful more. Ange’s men will aim to replicate what Chelsea achieved in the opening 45 minutes. Brennan Johnson’s pace will cause problems. The Welshman will have chances on the South Coast. I’m confident he can register at least one effort on target.

Tottenham tops the table when it comes to xG (13.69). Their forward-thinking approach provides heaps of entertainment. When Spurs click, they’re a fantastic side to watch. Only Chelsea (15) and Manchester City (14) have scored more goals than Spurs this season. Fabian Hurzeler’s side has allowed 9.95xGA, the 8th worst in the division.
Goals are likely in this match. Over 2.5 goals is priced at 2/5. BTTS is even shorter at 1/3. Brennan Johnson is looking sharp and scoring for fun. Backing him to find the back of the net for a sixth consecutive match appeals. Johnson is averaging 3.79 shots with 1.26 on target this campaign. Spurs are priced at 1.61 to score twice at Brighton. I think there’s value in the AGS price.
Brighton had an impressive summer transfer window. They added some smart signings, one being Dutchman Mats Wieffer. The former Feyenoord man has started twice for his new club, playing 175 minutes in total. Wieffer committed two fouls on his debut and two again last weekend against Chelsea. I expect the 24-year-old to start in central midfield on Sunday afternoon.
James Maddison has drawn 17 fouls so far this season at an average of 3.15 per 90. He’ll feature in the middle of the park. Maddison is technical and a clever player. He’s the man who can unlock the Brighton defence. Wieffer and his teammates know that he’ll be a threat.
Wieffer has yet to receive a booking this season. His foul numbers are impressive, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s shown a card in this encounter. It’s promised to be a fast-paced game between two offensive teams, and professional fouls will be made to prevent counterattacks.
