Team news
Brighton continue to struggle with injuries and two more key players have suffered setbacks this week with James Milner and Joao Pedro joining Joel Veltman, Ansu Fati and Solly March in the treatment room.
Kaoru Mitoma is still at the Asian Cup with Japan and will play against Iran on Saturday in the Quarter Final, while Simon Adingra remains at AFCON with Ivory Coast.
Despite a much-needed midweek win against Sheffield United, Roy Hodgson will have been frustrated to see both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze withdrawn through injury.
The Eagles' creative duo both face late fitness tests in order to play against rivals Brighton, although it seems that Olise is in a stronger position than Eze.
Brighton vs Crystal Palace Tips
South-east rivals Brighton and Palace renew hostilities at the Amex in a match which has a habit of ending all-square – but may not this time.
Six of the last nine top-flight tussles between these sides have ended in draws, all of them 1-1 draws at that.
Palace will head to the Sussex coast buoyed by Tuesday night's 3-2 win over Sheffield United, but it was a match in which the flashes of genius of Olise and Eze separated an average team from a poor team. And if the bulletins are right, Eze won't be involved at the Amex while Olise is a doubt.
That win was the Eagles' second in 13 matches and they haven't beaten any of the current top eight teams.
They can produce gutsy away efforts – they won 1-0 at Manchester United and came from two goals down to snatch an unlikely 2-2 draw at champions Manchester City.
But the truth is their away form isn't good and Brighton, desperate to make amends for Tuesday's terrible effort at Luton, should hold all the aces.
Albion have lost only three matches since the middle of October, all of which were on their travels.
In front of their own fans they have not lost since AEK Athens picked their pockets in a Europa League group-stage encounter at the back end of September.
But they are inconsistent. They have played six games since Christmas, scoring four or more goals in three of them and failing to find the net at all in the other three.
What we do know is that they will dominate the ball – they boast 63 percent possession at home, Palace 39 percent away – and more than likely carve out far more openings; they average six more shots at home than Palace do away.
De Zerbi has a decent sized squad this season, they generally score plenty of goals and can wear Palace down.
