Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Predictions: Back Spurs to be in the goals again

Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Odds
There are three midweek Premier League games this week and we've asked Sam Ingram to preview the clash between Brighton and Spurs at the Amex on Wednesday evening. He's picked out his best two bets for you.
Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Tips
It's now five losses on the spin for Brighton and a whole month without picking up a Premier League point. Lewis Dunk's goal away in Newcastle was the only goal in said five fixtures. Graham Potter's men need to dust themselves down and find a solution as Tottenham prepares for their short trip south.
The five-game top-flight losing streak for The Seagulls is the first for 40-years. Unwelcome and tough to take, but Brighton has to find a clinical edge in front of goal to threaten for a top-half finish.
Worryingly in these past five games, Brighton conjured a lowly 4.61xG total. Only two relegation candidates, Norwich and Everton, registered less. Yet, the two endangered sides still recorded more goals than Brighton during this timeframe.
Contrastingly to the dry spell on the south coast, Tottenham brag the highest goal return in the Premier League's most-recent five fixtures with 14. Spurs' 10.03xG in this time suggests that this rich vein of goalscoring form isn't sustainable in the long run, but also that Spurs have approached games with a sense of lethality in their opponent's box.
It's of no surprise, then, that siding with goals for the away team could provide a profitable betting angle into the game if recent previous exploits suggest anything. The 2.25 for a Spurs win is intriguing, although the visitors have been rather hot and cold in terms of clinching results of late.
A selection that proved fruitful for Brighton opponents in each of their last five games is over 1.5 goals scored for the other team. This market has also banked for punters in four of Spurs' recent five Premier League fixtures. The 2.30 offered at William Hill is something I can get on board with.
Dejan Kulusevski's presence in the Spurs squad has offered Antonio Conte the luxury of shuffling the pack in forward areas. With the Swede's injection of quality and want to take the game to sides in possession, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will continue to benefit.
The January arrival has firmly hit the ground running in North London with two goals and three assists to his name. It's of no surprise that Kane's purple patch has coincided with Kulusevski's growing importance in the squad. The England captain's six goals from just five games, alongside Spurs' impressive recent goal return, is a nod towards Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentacur's impact on the current set-up.
For Kulusevski to influence proceedings once more for his teammates, William Hill's offer of 4.50 for an anytime assist is appealing. Tottenham will look to exploit Brighton on the counter-attack, affording Kulusevski positions to inflict damage on a struggling Brighton backline.
Tottenham managed to prise an out of favour Kulusevski away from Juventus on an initial 18-month loan deal. The €10-million borrowers fee already looks like a steal, and one Spurs fans will be hoping is engineered into a more permanent agreement.
