Brazil vs. South Korea Betting Tips: 15/2 pick for last-16 match

Five-time World Cup winners Brazil face South Korea in the round of 16, with the clash live on BBC One, Monday evening (7pm).
Tipster J has previewed the action at Stadium 974 and picked out two fancies...
Brazil’s 17 match unbeaten run came to an end in their final group game, as Tite's reserve side fell short 1-0 in the final minutes against Cameroon.
The tournament favourites still managed to top the group on goal difference, following back to back wins that opened their World Cup Campaign.
Heading into this knockout clash, I’m sure we’ll see Brazil’s first-11 as the second-string side did little to impress in what was a shock defeat.
A shock final group game win was enough for South Korea to qualify for the last 16 as they prepare to face FIFA’s rank #1 side in Brazil.
A late winner in the 91st minute from Wolves’ Hwang Hee-Chan was enough to secure all three points against Portugal, edging South Korea into 2nd place in the group over Uruguay on goals scored.
They make up one of three Asian sides who have made the round of 16 which is history in itself, but qualification here looks unlikely – only once in the history of South Korea have they managed to progress beyond this point in the competition, reaching the Semi-Finals in 2002.
Brazil vs South Korea Tips
For the main selection, I’ll be backing Brazil to win by 2 or more goals, at a respectable 5/6 with bet365.
These two sides met in a friendly six months ago and Brazil ran ragged in a 5-1 victory.
Prior to Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon, they had won nine games on the bounce, with seven of these covering the -1 handicap at a minimum.
The strength of the Brazilian defence accompanied by the attack force they pursue gives them many opportunities to win games ‘comfortably’.
They didn’t concede a shot on target in the first two games, and with a likely return of Neymar I can only see a comfortable win for the five-time World Cup Champions.
Looking at opposing right backs vs the tricky Vinicius Junior is always something to keep an eye on, and 15/2 for the South Korean right back, Moon Hwan Kim, to be cautioned looks a great price with UniBet.
La Ligas's most fouled player, Vinicius Junior (fouled 3.5 times per game), has an exceptional record for drawing fouls so it’s no surprise to see full backs cautioned against him.
The Real Madrid winger was fouled five times in his last match for Brazil against Switzerland, three of which were from Swiss right-back on the day Silvan Widmer. He was not cautioned, but that could be down to referee Ivan Barton Cisneros’ rather tame card record.
I would back any right back at 15/2 who is up against Vinicius Jr, but it’s worth looking at Moon Hwan Kim’s card record.
He’s only managed two yellows in 28 club appearances this season but there is no way he facing this sort of quality in the K League.
In his final two seasons at Busan he accumulated 15 cards in 53 games so I can see he definitely has it in him to get a yellow card.
Here’s hoping Vinicius is on top form and the ref picks up on an accumulation of fouls.
