Bournemouth started slowly this season and there were question mark about their decision to appoint Andoni Iraola as boss after a couple of months. The Cherries made the bold call to sack Gary O’Neil in the summer, and Iraola didn’t hit the ground running. Fast forward a few months and Bournemouth have shot up the table and are well clear of the relegation battle.
Liverpool have been the most consistent side in the league so far and a place at the summit of the table is their reward. Klopp’s men were poor last season but he has successfully built a side that are capable of challenging on all fronts. There appears to be very little danger of Liverpool missing out on the Champions League again and the Reds are dreaming of lifting four pieces of silverware this season.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool Tips
The first of our betting angles for this bet builder is for Bournemouth to have at least 10 shots in the match. The Cherries have lost just one of their last nine matches across all competitions and have shown plenty of attacking impetus. Iraola’s men are averaging 14.53 shots per game over that period and while they are the underdogs here, they should give it a real go. Bournemouth managed to beat Liverpool in this fixture last season.
These sides have already gone head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium this season. The League Cup meeting between the sides saw Bournemouth have 16 shots, well above the required mark for this bet builder selection to win. Iraola’s men also managed 13 shots in the league defeat at Anfield earlier this season.
Liverpool undoubtedly deserve to be the Premier League leaders but their best stuff has been played at home. They have looked shaky in periods when playing on the road, with their opponents averaging 12.9 shots across their 10 away league matches.
Our next angle is for there to be at least three offsides in the match. There were five in the most recent meeting between these sides and the averages make for good reading.
Bournemouth’s matches are averaging the fewest offsides in the league with 2.68 per game but their meetings with Liverpool have seen plenty. There have been at least three offsides in the last 10 matches between the sides with an average of 5.1 per game.
Liverpool adopt a high line under Jurgen Klopp and they rank highly in terms of offsides as a result. Their matches have seen an average of 4.15 per game, the 5th most in the Premier League.
Our longer odds bet for this clash uses the same angles as the main bet with increased lines. The previously mentioned head-to-heads between these sides suggest this bet is more than plausible.
This bet won when Bournemouth hosted Liverpool in the League Cup on November 1st. The Cherries has 16 shots and there were five offsides in that one.
