Bournemouth vs. Man City Betting Tips: Haaland to score a header on the South Coast

Manchester City travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League for a tea-time kick-off on the South Coast on Saturday. We’ve got two tips for the game that we think are a little overpriced.
After their 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, Manchester City have now failed to win five of their last six matches away from The Etihad stadium. However, City have never been beaten by Bournemouth in their history and have won the last 12 meetings between the two sides.
By taking three points at Molineux in the Premier League last weekend, Bournemouth achieved their first win since before the World Cup. That victory lifted The Cherries out of the relegation zone, but they remain just a point above West Ham in 18th heading into this stiff test.
Unsurprisingly, City are the overwhelming favourites to get the win at The Vitality Stadium, priced at 2/7 to do so with most betting sites. The draw is on offer at 19/4, with a historic victory for Bournemouth available at 9/1.
Bournemouth vs Man City Tips
The first of our plays on Saturday arrive from the player fouls market, where we have picked out a double at 17/10 that is available with either Unibet or BetUK
The first player we are siding with to clear the Over 0.5 fouls line is Adam Smith of Bournemouth. Only two players in the division have been shown more yellow cards than Smith this season (8), with the 31-year-old being booked in four of his last five. When it comes to fouls, the right-back has committed 1+ in seven of his last eight league games, and there’s also a good chance he may come up against Jack Grealish on Saturday, one of the most fouled players in the league.
Paired with Smith will be Erling Haaland. Fouls may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the goal-bot, but only Rodri has given away more this season for City in the Premier League. Haaland’s last four foul totals in the league read 2,1,4,2 and with this in mind he looks good value at 10/13 to clear the Over 0.5 once again at Bournemouth.
Our other selection for the game is for Erling Haaland to score a header, which is available at 17/2 with bet365. The Norwegian only bagged five headed goals when at Borussia Dortmund who were known for keeping the ball very much on the floor in that period.
This season Haaland has certainly improved his aerial numbers scoring five headers already in the top-flight. Only Harry Kane has scored more with his swede this campaign and it’s well worth noting that Bournemouth have conceded more goals from set-pieces than any other side in the league in 22/23 (13). With this in mind 17/2 with bet365 looks reasonable, with others such as Sky Bet going just 11/2.
