Team news
Dortmund are set to be without forwards Sebastien Haller and Samuel Bamba due to injuries, but Felix Nmecha was able to make an appearance from the bench against Werder Bremen on Saturday and could be close to a start in this game along with defender Mats Hummels.
PSV will be missing Noa Lang due to a hamstring injury while Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman are doubts after missing the last game due to injuries. Malik Tillman, Guus Til and Mauro Junior could be in line for midfield berths if Saibari and Veerman miss out, with winger Johan Bakayoko also likely to come back into the starting line-up.
Borussia Dortmund predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kobel; Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen; Sabitzer, Can; Malen, Brandt, Sancho; Fullkrug
PSV Eindhoven predicted XI (4-3-3): Benitez; Teze, Obispo, Boscagli, Dest; Schouten, Til, Junior; Bakayoko, De Jong, Lozano.
Borussia Dortmund vs PSV Eindhoven Tips
Borussia Dortmund might have been sitting in a more comfortable position heading into their home leg of this tie but they should still have the quality required to reach the quarter-finals without playing more than 90 minutes against PSV.
The Bundesliga side established a 1-0 lead in the first leg with a goal by former PSV player Donyell Malen but a disputed 56th-minute penalty was converted by Eindhoven's Luuk de Jong to leave the scores level heading into the second leg.
Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has been under pressure and his club would expect to be challenging further up the table than lying six points adrift of third, but there have been distinct signs of progress in the second half of the campaign and reaching the last eight would be another step forward.
A 3-2 home defeat by Hoffenheim has been Dortmund's only loss in their last 13 outings and the mid-season additions of loanees Jadon Sancho and Ian Maatsen have proved to be smart moves so far.
Dortmund have posted back-to-back away wins over Union Berlin and Werder Bremen in their last two games and beat Bremen 2-1 despite playing the second half with 10 men.
PSV progressed from Group B despite a goal difference of minus two, having won only two of their six group games. They were hammered 4-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates, but they did win 3-2 at Sevilla and the defeat by the Gunners was the only Champions League game this season in which they have failed to find the net.
Dortmund might easily have scored more than their one goal in the first leg and they have bagged two goals in each of their last three games, so 2-1 could prove to be a worthwhile correct score bet at 17/2.
