Belgium vs Italy Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Best bets in Brussels
Belgium and Italy lock horns in Brussels in this crucial Nations League match on Thursday night (7:45pm).
Leaders Italy, with 10 points from four games, could potentially win the group while struggling Belgium need to collect all three points to keep alive their faint hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals.
Belgium vs Italy Predictions
Following a challenging period marked by their failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup and an underwhelming defence of their European Championship, Italy have started to sparkle again.
The Azzurri are currently top of a difficult Nations League group containing France, Belgium, and Israel, accumulating 10 points from four games, which includes a stunning 3-1 win away to the French.
Consequently, Luciano Spalletti's troops now make the trip to Belgium with the knowledge that if they secure a point, they will book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
In contrast to Italy, Belgium have struggled for form, picking up just one win in the group - at home to Israel - with this their only victory in their last six matches. They have just four points on the board with a top-2 finish looking unlikely, while they will be missing a host of players, including Kevin de Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, and Youri Tilemans.
I'm backing visiting Italy to secure a last-eight spot by avoiding defeat in the double-chance market, which I've combined with both teams to score to form a 27/20 double with Midnite, in what is expected to be an entertaining encounter at the King Baudouin Stadium.
BTTS has landed in all four of Italy's group games so far and three of Belgium's matches, while the teams played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Rome last month in a match in which Italy raced into a 2-0 lead only to then have Pellegrini sent off before half-time; allowing the Belgians to claw their way back.

I've also utilised Midnite's Bet Builder feature for my second tip, where I've backed Italy to score Over 1.5 Goals and midfielder Davide Frattesi to have Over 0.5 Shots On Target at 3/1.
Italy have scored 2+ goals in all four group games so far. They fired three past France in Lyon, scored six times across two games against Israel, and roared into an early 2-0 lead at home to Belgium, only for a premature red card to puncture their gameplan.
On the other hand, Belgium have conceded 2+ goals in their last three matches and haven't kept a clean sheet in five games since June.
As for Davide Frattesi, he has emerged as one of Italy's standout players in the 2024/25 Nations League campaign, having scored three goals in four matches, which brings his total to eight goals in his last 19 appearances for the national team. He also recently scored a brace for Inter Milan in a Man of the Match performance against Empoli. At 1/1, he looks well worth a bet to register a shot on target against Belgium.
