Bayern Munich v Fortuna Dusseldorf Tips: Preview and Predictions for Bundesliga Clash

This Saturday's late kick-off in the Bundesliga sees league leaders Bayern Munich welcome relegation-threatened Fortuna Dusseldorf to the Allianz Arena.
Bayern have strengthened their position as title favourites following a 1-0 win over second-placed Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.
Hans-Dieter Flick's side are now seven points clear at the summit of the Bundesliga and being heavily fancied to claim their ninth consecutive title this season, priced at 1/66 with the bookies.
Unsurprisingly the Bavarians enter this match-up as clear favourites for the win, priced as short as 1/16. Meanwhile, their opponents Fortuna Dusseldorf are being given just a 2.4% chance of victory with their odds to win at 40/1, but do head into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Schalke in midweek.
The match kicks off at 17:30 UK time and will be shown live on BT Sport. You will find BettingOdds.com's three bets for the clash listed below.
Our short priced selection for this Saturday's clash is Bayern midfielder Thomas Muller to score anytime. The 30-year-old has been phenomenal for his team since the turn of the year, contributing five goals and seven assists for the table-toppers in 2020.
Muller found his way onto the scoresheet (and provided an assist) during Bayern's 5-2 rout over Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend and was one of the standout performers in the club's narrow victory over league rivals Dortmund in midweek.
The Germany international did not manage to score against Lucien Favre's resilient outfit but did frequently get himself into some promising goalscoring positions, so if he can repeat that this weekend against a much weaker defensive unit on home soil, this bet at 6/5 could be a good one to have - especially given the fact that it is 5/6 with other bookmakers.
Little explanation is required where Robert Lewandowski and goalscoring is concerned. The Poland forward has been Europe's deadliest marksman this season, scoring 41 goals in all competitions, while he is also currently top of the Bundesliga goalscoring charts with 27 league goals to his name thus far.
Lewandowski has scored two in three since German football returned earlier this month, but was kept quiet by an organised Dortmund backline on Tuesday evening, something that would have no doubt frustrated him beyond belief.
Indeed, against a side who have shipped 53 goals in 28 games this term, we're confident in him returning to the scoresheet here. His price to score anytime is far too short (1/6), so we're backing him to open the scoring at the Allianz Arena this Saturday.
The bookies are giving Lewandowski a 42% chance of scoring first this weekend, and it's clear to see why considering he has notched the opener 14 times this season (all competitions).
We're doubling this bet up by including Dusseldorf's Marcel Sobottka to be booked. The holding-midfielder may have only been booked twice this season, but both of those yellow cards have come in his previous two games, suggesting an element of recklessness in his play.
Up against the movement and agility of an in-form Thomas Muller, making darting runs between the lines, we can see the 26-year-old potentially make it a hat-trick of bookings on Saturday evening.
Our longshot bet for the game includes Bayern defender Alphonso Davies to be booked. The Canadian has seen yellow in his previous two games so heads into this match with plenty of previous.
Davies is an unbelievably quick player who can sometimes be a little rash in the challenge; we're hoping for another ill-timed lunge on Saturday.
We're also backing Fortuna defender Kaan Ayhan to be booked. The Turkish defender is his club's most booked player this season with ten yellows to his name, and will most likely line-up on the right hand side of a back-three this weekend - directly against the rapid Serge Gnabry, who frequently lures in players with his turn of pace, thus drawing in fouls which often lead to bookings.
Finally we've included Robert Lewandowski to register two shots on target for obvious reasons. The Poland international is arguably the best striker in world football right now and enters the game in a rich vein of form, desperate to make amends for not scoring against Borussia Dortmund in midweek.
He should be presented with plenty of opportunities in front of goal this weekend, so backing him to have two or more shots on target seems like it could be the logical thing to do on the face of it.
As always, we hope that you thoroughly enjoy the game, and make sure that you're never betting anything you cannot afford.
