Bayern Munich vs. PSG Betting Tips: Best bets for Champions League last 16 clash in Germany.
Live on BT Sport on Wednesday evening, Bayern Munich host PSG in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 stage at the Allianz Arena. Here at BettingOdds, we’ve provided you with our two best bets for the game including a longshot at 9/1.
The German giants currently sit top of the Bundesliga table on goal-difference and come into the second leg with a 1-0 advantage after beating the French Champions in Paris.
Since losing the first leg, PSG have since won three league games in a row, beating Lille, Marseille and Nantes scoring 11 goals in that run. Despite Neymar’s season ending injury, PSG will come into this game full of confidence with Mbappe and Messi scoring goals for fun at the moment.
As for Bayern Munich, they have lost just once in their last 23 games in all competitions and are yet to be beaten at the Allianz Arena. They will be out for revenge after PSG knocked them out of the Champions League quarter finals on away goals back in 2021 and avoiding a defeat here will be enough to knock the Parisians out of the Champions League this time around.
Two European powerhouses go head to head in a massive Champions League clash and as usual I have you covered with two of my best betting angles below:
Team News:
Lucas Hernandez, Manuel Neuer, Noussair Mazraoui & Benjamin Pavard are out for PSG.
Neymar, Presnel Kimpembe, Achraf Hakimi & Renato Sanches are out for Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:
Sommer; Stanisic, Upamecano, De Ligt; Coman, Kimmich, Goretzka, Davies; Sane, Musiala; Choupo-Moting
PSG possible starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Pereira, Marquinhos, Ramos; Hakimi, Ruiz, Verratti, Vitinha, Mendes; Messi, Mbappe
Bayern Munich vs PSG Tips
- Over 0 cards in the 2nd half for Bayern Munich
- Over 0 cards in the 2nd half for PSG
- Over 1 cards in the match for PSG
- Mbappe Over 1.5 shots in the match
Historically, second legs of Champions League knockout games see a lot of tactical fouls which result in yellow cards. We have a card happy referee in charge of this game: Daniele Orsato from Italy who loves dishing out cards especially in the second half.
Considering the circumstances, backing a card each for both teams in the second half makes perfect sense. PSG received two cards in the first leg in Paris and should comfortably receive at least two more here with them trailing and desperation creeping in if the scoreline stays the same going into the second half.
As for Mbappe, he will be PSG’s biggest threat and is averaging over three shots per game in the Champions League this season. With his team trailing, he looks a good prospect to get at least two shots off. Combining these four selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 9/10 and I am happy to stake 1pt on that as our main bet for this game.
Following on from our main bet, I am taking higher lines on the cards for our longshot bet and with Daniele Orsato in charge, these lines are certainly achievable.
As for the goalscorer selection, Mbappe is in supreme goalscoring form scoring five goals in his last three games for PSG and is their top scorer in this competition with seven goals.
Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot @ 9/1 for this massive Champions League clash.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly
