Australia vs. Pakistan Betting Tips: Babar Azam backed in Friday's Cricket World Cup match

The Aussies finally picked up their first win of the 2023 World Cup against Sri Lanka but are still on the ropes and are in desperate need of a win tomorrow against a Pakistan side still reeling from their defeat to bitter rivals India.
Matt Banks is here to preview the game and pick out his best bets…
The first two games couldn’t really have gone much worse for Australia, getting comfortably dealt with by India in their opener and then being on the receiving end of their worst defeat in World Cup history to South Africa.
The make-up of the side doesn’t feel right with only one frontline spinner, not enough power in the middle order and a few batsmen looking at least a spot too high. The return of Travis Head will help solve some of those issues, but he is still unavailable for this game against Pakistan.
Pakistan started the tournament with a record chase against South Africa but came crashing back down to earth when they were humbled by India.
This is a great opportunity for some of their star players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi to truly arrive at the tournament.
If either of these two teams want to make the semi-finals, they will both feel a win is essential to making that happen.
Australia vs Pakistan Tips
Babar Azam is well regarded as one of, if not the best batsmen in ODI cricket and was one of the few bright spots in Pakistan’s loss against India with a classy looking 50 before the collapse.
He now needs a statement innings where he goes big and leads his team to a win, and this is the perfect game for him to do it.
The line only being 37.5 for a man who averages 57 in the format is great value at even-money with BetMGM.
Adam Zampa has consistently been one of the best spinners in white-ball cricket for years now, so it was a surprise to see him being so ineffective in the first two games.
He was expensive against both South Africa and India and only picked up a single wicket in those two games but returned to form with a man-of-the-match performance against Sri Lanka thanks to his 4-47.
That will give him the confidence to cause Pakistan some trouble, especially given their issues with wrist spin so far this tournament.
