Atlanta United vs. Inter Miami Tips: Lionel Messi to return to goalscoring ways
Inter Miami are back in action this weekend and Lionel Messi returns to the lineup as he will be back from international duty with Argentina. They play Atlanta United and we will be taking a look at the betting market for the game and picking out our two best bets for the action in the States.
Atlanta United vs. Inter Miami Tips
Let us just start by talking about Lionel Messi’s record for Inter Miami. 11 games, 11 goals, five assists. It’s staggering. He was already renowned as the greatest to ever do it and to see him still keep his goalscoring form up after he left Europe is truly commendable.
It seems crazy to back him to score at 4/7 but with him having 11 goals in 11 games, it's hard to not be siding with the Argentine. He’s just making this league look way too easy and he’s not looking like slowing down anytime soon. Messi has got Inter Miami playing some great football and I really fancy him to score one or maybe even two here.
We’re playing it safe with him just to score anytime but there very well could be value elsewhere in the betting for him to score multiple goals.
It’s safe to say now that Inter Miami are probably the best team in the MLS. The signings of Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets have been instrumental in crafting a top tier side in America and they’re still yet to suffer defeat since the signing of Lionel Messi.
Lionel Messi first joined when they played Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup, they went on to win that trophy and since then they have still not lost a game. Their record stands at 11 wins and one draw in the 12 games since the signing of the Argentine and they look like a cut above the rest of the league at the moment.
Atlanta on the other hand are not enjoying their best bit of form, they’re currently winless in their last two games and have conceded four in those two games. I think Inter Miami should have a fairly comfortable win here and that’s why we’re going for a more risky bet and backing them to win both halves at 7/1. Lionel Messi will be rejoining the side for this one and he has taken the league by storm, with us already backing him to score it’s clear we fancy goals in this one and we’ll be siding with an Inter Miami demolition job.
