Aston Villa vs. Norwich Predictions: Back the Villans to send the Canaries packing

There are six Premier League fixtures taking place on Saturday, including the two crucial televised games at the top of the table, between Newcastle and Liverpool and Leeds and Man City. We will have full match previews and predictions on site for all the games and here we've asked @OddsT3rrier to look at the game taking place in the West Midlands between Aston Villa and Norwich City and provide us with his two best bets.
Aston Villa vs. Norwich Tips
Both these teams are in pretty awful form; Norwich have won just once in their last 11 Premier League games and another loss here, combined with results going against them elsewhere, could see the Canaries relegated back to the Championship as of Saturday evening.
Villa have fallen off a cliff recently, are winless in five, and aren't yet mathematically safe from the drop. However, Steven Gerrard and his side could possibly send former boss Dean Smith down at Villa Park, in what would be a cruel twist of fate.
Gerrard will be without Kortney Hause, Lucas Digne, Morgan Sanson and Bertrand Traore here and may look to bring Danny Ings back into the starting line up as Villa have struggled for goals in recent games.
Smith is without several players including Zimmerman, Omobadimele, Kabak, Idah and Rupp, but is hopeful Josh Sargent will be fit to play.
My first pick is one that's landed six times in Norwich's last eight Premier League games - their opponents to be winning at both half time and full time. Obviously Villa have been in shocking form themselves, but they have had a tough run. Losses to West Ham, Arsenal, Wolves and Spurs in recent weeks should not detract from the fact that they're a far better side than Norwich and possess some decent attacking firepower. Stevie G will be fuming with the way his side have ended their season but will be encouraged by their draw to Leicester last time out. I can see him firing up the Claret and Blues here and get them coming out in the first half chomping at the bit.
The 2/5 on the match odds is way too short for me to contemplate so I'd rather take a bit of a chance on the 11/10 for Villa to be winning at HT/FT.
My second pick is a stat based one revolving around two Villa attacking threats. I have combined both Coutinho and Watkins into a bet builder at William Hill to have 2+ shots on target each. Both men average around 1 shot on target per game for the season but here they are at home and against a far inferior defence. Watkins has cleared this line in two of his last three outing, while Coutinho has managed at least one shot on target in seven of his last eight games.
The 6/1 is worth a small nibble and will be my second selection.
If you like either pick then good luck, and bet responsibly.
