Arsenal vs Liverpool Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Back this 13/2 Bet Builder
Live on Sky Sports, we have a heavyweight clash as league leaders Liverpool travel to the Emirates Stadium where they lock horns with Arsenal in the Premier League this Sunday.
Arsenal vs Liverpool Predictions
After an unbeaten run of seven games to start the season, Arteta’s men went down 2-0 to Bournemouth after William Saliba was sent off in the first half for denying Bournemouth a clear goalscoring opportunity.
They currently sit third in the league table with 17 points, four points behind leaders Liverpool who are on a sensational run of eight victories in a row in all competitions. They beat Leipzig 1-0 away from home in the Champions League to keep their 100% winning record intact, winning all three games in the competition so far which has seen them go second in the table. They have been clinical going forward but their defensive performances have been mightily impressive as they have conceded just three goals in eight games so far in the Premier League this season which makes them the best defence in the division.
Games between these two sides have been very entertaining in recent seasons, with both teams finding the back of the net in their last four consecutive head to head meetings and at least four goals scored in three of those four clashes. With one of their best performers in Saliba suspended, Arsenal have a big challenge in front of them as they aim to close the gap on Arne Slot’s men.
A blockbuster Sunday main event awaits us, and I have included my two best bets for the clash in the preview below:
Team News:
- Odegaard, Tomiyasu, Tierney & Saliba are out for Arsenal while Timber, Saka & Calafiori are doubtful.
- Harvey Elliot, Allison, Chiesa & Conor Bradley are out for Liverpool while Diogo Jota is a doubt.
Kai Havertz is averaging the most fouls per game (1.9) for Arsenal so far this season. He is leading the fouls chart with 15 fouls committed in just eight league games for Arsenal. He is always eager to win the ball back for his team and contest the aerial duels aggressively which leads to fouls. He has committed at least one foul in all 11 of his starts in all competitions this season and a game of such big magnitude should have him fired up as he goes up against Van Dijk.
Ryan Gravenberch is averaging the most fouls per game (1.8) for Liverpool so far this season. Having played 90 minutes in all eight league games for Liverpool this season, he has committed a foul in seven of them. He committed three fouls last weekend against a tough opposition in Chelsea and now face an even tougher challenge against an Arsenal side who beat them 3-1 at this venue last season. He is an aggressive tackler and I can see him mistiming one of the tackles to get this selection over the line.
There has been a second half goal in all eight of Arsenal’s Premier League games this season while Liverpool have seen a second half goal in six of their eight league games so far this season. There has been a second half strike in seven of the last eight head to head meetings in the Premier League between these two sides and we should be in for another entertaining clash with a lot of end to end action specially in the final 45 minutes of this game.

Having averaged the most fouls for Arsenal this season, Kai Havertz is due a yellow card. He has been booked in his last two consecutive meetings for Arsenal against Liverpool in the Premier League and his aggressive nature of going into aerial duels as well as persistent fouling could make him go into the referee’s book in this game.
As for Salah, he is having an incredible season for Liverpool with five goals and five assists in just eight league games. This bet has landed in six of his last seven games in all competitions and he has an excellent record against Arsenal scoring 10 goals and assisting twice in just 14 league appearances.
Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot double @ 13/2 with Paddy Power and we will take that as our second bet for this massive clash.
Best of luck if you follow these selections. Please always gamble responsibly.
