AC Milan vs. Napoli Betting Tips: Rising star Kvaratskhelia backed in the shots markets

It’s early days of course, but Napoli have emerged as one of Europe’s stand-out teams this season. Not only do they top the Serie A table, they sent a real statement of intent in the Champions League through a 4-1 humbling of Liverpool, backed up with a 3-0 win at Rangers.
Napoli’s eight-game unbeaten start in all competitions will now be put to the test at the San Siro where they face defending Italian champions AC Milan, who are also undefeated in 2022/23 and level on points with Napoli in the table.
It’s going to be a cracker tonight (Sunday) - live on BT Sport 1 at 7.45pm - which features one of the signings of the summer in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who takes precedence in our tips below…
AC Milan vs Napoli Tips
Anyone who has watched Khvicha Kvaratskhelia so far this season will know full well how much of a shot-magnet this Georgian star is. He’s been one of the stand-out signings in Serie A, playing a key role in his side’s flying start to the season, both domestically and in Europe.
Kvaratskhelia has four goals on the board coupled with two assists. His confidence in front of goal is ten-fold right now, having accumulated 29 shots in just eight matches in all competitions. In the mid-week 3-0 win over Rangers, Kvaratskhelia amassed a whopping eight shots, and prior to that five shots in his last league outing against Spezia.
At 7/5 with Paddy Power the shot-hungry Kvaratskhelia gets the nod to have three or more shots this weekend, a bet which has landed in six of his eight games this season.
Blessed with a jukebox of skill, panache and exuberance, the gifted Kvaratskhelia has been a thrilling addition to the Napoli roster. Manager Luciano Spalletti will love how much of a threat his new star has been already; terrorising defenders and unleashing a plethora of goal bound efforts in the process.
While Kvaratskhelia’s accuracy in front of goal could be improved slightly, after six waves of fixtures he has still registered the second-most shots on target in Serie A this season with nine - not bad for a player who has needed absolutely no time to adjust to playing for a new club in a new country.
As mentioned, the 21-year-old has four goals to his name so far, while his tally of 29 shots in eight Serie A and Champions League games have seen 11 find the target. He’ll love nothing more than making his mark against fellow high flyers AC Milan, and at 10/3 (Paddy Power) he does look a tad overpriced to have two or more shots on target at the San Siro.
Alternatively, he’s 10/1 with bet365 to have over 2.5 shots on target.
