HighBet Welcome Offer: Bet £10 Get £15 in Free Bets
HighBet are a new player in the UK market, offering superb football coverage and a wealth of sports betting markets. Around since just 2021, they’ve already made good strides and we’ll talk you through what they’re already doing well and what they can improve on.
HighBet Sign-Up Offer Explained
HighBet's welcome offer is very easy to understand for UK customers. The £15 free bet bonus is available once per household and to new customers who deposit and place a minimum £10 qualifying bet on their sportsbook. To ensure you're eligible for this free bet bonus token, qualifying bets must be placed at minimum odds of 1/1 (or evens or 2.0, if you prefer) or greater, which must be settled within 14 days of placement.
Note that while HighBet are one of the bookmakers that accept PayPal, deposits for the welcome bonus cannot be made via this method.
The same goes for Neteller, Paysafe or Skrill, so bear that in mind when deciding which payment option you want to use the first time you make a deposit. Using any of the ones just mentioned will prevent you from being able to claim the sign-up offer so make sure you avoid those and go with an alternative. Such as Visa, Mastercard or a bank transfer. You can always use one of the e-wallets at a later date if you wish.
HighBet Sign Up Offer Terms and Conditions
Before creating your HighBet sports account and making your first deposit, it's crucial you read the terms and conditions relating to the offer. These are details that can also be found on their promo page:

- A £10 minimum bet is required for you to be eligible to claim the free bet.
- Void/cancelled or Cashed Out bets do not count towards wagering to activate the Free Bet Token.

How to Claim the HighBet Sign Up Offer
Like many betting sites, there is a HighBet free bet offer available to new customers. This deposit bonus can be claimed through following these four simple steps:
- Open an account by clicking on the big yellow Register button in the top right-hand side of the homepage. Provide all the necessary personal details, including your name, address, phone number and email; choose a username and password for your account.
- Before requesting your first-ever withdrawal, you’re going to need to pass a Know Your Customer (YC) check. This involves providing documents such as a passport, driver’s license or utility bill that prove you’re the person you say you are and that you live where you claim you do. Though you don’t need to pass the test straight away after registering your account, you might as well do it as soon as possible. That way, once you’ve done it, there shouldn't be any delays to your withdrawal request in the future.
- Make a minimum deposit of £10. PayPal, Neteller, Paysafe, Skrill or Skrill 1-Tap will not be eligible for any Free Bet Token offer so make sure you avoid all those payment options.
- Place a minimum £10 qualifying bet on any sport of your choosing at minimum odds of 1/1 or greater which must be settled within 14 days of placement.
- Once qualifying bets have settled, your £15 free bet token will be credited to your account with a 30-day expiry.
How You Can Use the HighBet Sign Up Offer in January 2025
Knowing what to use your bonus token on is just as important as understanding how to claim the free bets themselves. There is plenty of sporting action coming up in the next few months, so here are our top suggestions for what to use your qualifying bet on and what to do with the free bet itself.

HighBet Existing Customer Offers & Regular Promotions
Time to consider what HighBet are like when it comes to the best betting offers.
As we know, the sign-up offer is a pretty fair one with the free bet on offer being worth 50% more than the qualifying bet needed to be placed to get it.
Though offers are currently quite thin on the ground beyond that, we do note that since we last checked a few months ago, they’ve introduced Boosted Odds, particularly for football.
Seasoned sports bettors will know that useful as they are in terms of securing bigger payouts on winning bets, they’re considered more of a staple at the best betting sites, rather than an exciting new addition. But the wider point is that this may be a sign that it’s just just the beginning in terms of HighBet running more promos going forward. Let’s hope so.
50 Spins on Starburst + Up To £500 Bonus
UK players who visit HighBet and want to create an account have an alternative welcome offer which grants them 50 Free Spins on the online slot game Starburst and up to a £500 Bonus when making a first deposit; whatever you deposit first up will be matched by HighBet, up to a maximum of £500. You’ll also get an extra 50 free spins on Starburst when making your second and third deposits respectively.
Boosted Odds
It’s a beautifully simple concept, which goes some way to explaining its popularity. Let’s say Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is priced up at 2/1 to score anytime against Chelsea. In a bid to attract more business to this bet and increasing interest in the match in general, HighBet may increase Fernandes’ odds to score to 5/2.
From the bookies’ perspective, it’s one of the simplest offers to run because it requires little or nothing as regards terms and conditions, other than to state that the maximum stake you can wager is £50 per Boosted Odds selection.
From the customers’ perspective it’s a no-brainer, too. Those who were going to back Fernandes anyway will get a bigger price. Those who weren’t may consider doing so because the inflated odds mean it’s a good value bet. Best of all, there are no wagering requirements on any extra winnings resulting from the Boosted Odds.

Our HighBet Review
I found that while navigating HighBet's website there were several opportunities to make it more user-friendly. As a predominantly casino-based site, the HighBet sportsbook is clearly a lesser priority, with this section positioned further down the page and not signposted as prominently as you might expect.
After clicking through to this tab, switching between different markets and sports on the HighBet site was efficient, and I considered their vibrant design helped in providing a more pleasant browsing experience.
HighBet Pros and Cons
As a company who is continuing to grow in the UK industry, these are the standout features that I have identified as a new HighBet customer, plus a couple of negatives:
Positives
- An extensive betting list of 28 sports
- Lots of Esports betting on offer
- Cash Out feature
- Strong Football and Horse Racing coverage
Negatives
- Lack of sportsbook promotions
- Homepage can look quite cluttered
- Fees charged on some payment methods
HighBet Key Sportsbook Features: What Makes Signing Up Worthwhile?
There are lots of great bookies out there so each one that deserves your custom needs something about it that stands out. Here are some of the best features of HighBet’s Sportsbook.
Every football market you could want
It’s true that the vast majority of money wagered on football are on the main markets, like the match winner, over/under 2.5 goals, correct score and asian handicaps. But there will certainly be other punters who prefer to venture to more under-the-radar markets, like: a certain player to score the last goal of the match, a player to get an assist, which team will score last or which side will get the most corners in the match. With 100s of markets available on every match of note, whichever is your favourite will almost certainly be available here.
HighBet In-Play Betting
Like many others, HighBet have incorporated an in-play betting feature to allow for real-time sports betting during live events. I found this to be well designed, offering a range of different markets, and even providing handy navigation tools to easily locate popular selections and markets which allow for a Cash Out option.
Build it with Bet Builder
Bet Builders have been around for a while now, normally available just for football, allowing you to combine selections from the same match within just the one bet. Here at HighBet, in addition to football, you can also place Bet Builders on: tennis, Australian Rules football, American Football, baseball, cricket, ice hockey, rugby league and rugby union. It’s already rare to have Bet Builders available for so many other sports.
But Highbet have pushed the boat out even further. You can take that original Bet Builder and combine it with a Bet Builder from another event, or just put it together with a single selection from another event. This is a very rare and exciting feature so HighBet deserve plenty of credit for offering it.
Sports You Can Bet On at HighBet
There are over 35 different sports to bet on here, plus a few others if you count the different Esports games as stand-alone sports. Here are the most popular ones you can bet on at the HighBet Sportsbook.

What Betting Markets are Available at HighBet?
Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and the availability of lots of different betting markets is an important feature, in addition to HighBet covering lots of different sports, as we’ve just seen. Here are some types of betting markets to look forward to.
- Match Winner- Whether it’s football, tennis, cricket, basketball, snooker or dozens of other sports, betting on who will go on to win the match remains the most popular market to bet on.
- Handicaps/Asian Handicaps- Handicaps are a great way of turning a one-sided contest on paper into a far more level one by giving the underdog a head-start of points or goals; in football this type of handicap is called an Asian Handicap. Then it’s up to you: either wager on the underdog to stay within the handicap, or back the favourite to overcome it.
- Outright Winner- Some customers are more interested in trying to predict the eventual winner of a tournament rather than the victor of a specific match. Weekly examples are the winner of an ATP (tennis) tournament or a PGA (golf) event, while you can bet on the winner of the Premier League, Champions League, Super Bowl or Formula One Championship throughout their respective seasons.
- Player Props- A top batsman in cricket, a player to score a try in rugby, a footballer to receive a card or a basketball player to get 5 or more assists are all examples of player prop bets, where the emphasis is on a player doing something on an individual basis, irrespective of what their team as a whole does.
HighBet Quality of Odds
In mid-November 2024, on the same day I looked at the odds on the following selections, with their odds next to them:
- Draw in Croatia v Portugal in the Nations League - Odds of 3.15 / House edge on the market as a whole: 6.4%
- Chicago Bulls to beat the Detroit Pistons in the NBA- Odds of 2.38 / House edge on the market as a whole: 7.13%.
- Sri Lanka to beat New Zealand in the 2nd ODI- Odds of 1.5 / House edge on the market as a whole: 11.7%.
When I compared those odds with what some of the other big bookies were offering, I found them to be roughly in line with most, but rarely bigger than their competitors.
Another way to look at it is to consider the house edge: the lower it is, the better for the customer. The house edge on the football and basketball matches were fine but over 11% on the cricket match is far too high, so let’s hope that going forward they can take a gamble on being ‘best price’ now and then or at least reducing their margins on all markets to below say, 8%.
HighBet Live Streaming
Sadly, live streaming is not a feature that is currently offered by HighBet. Their status as an emerging bookmaker in the UK does mean that this might be something they look to include further down the line, however, for now this does make betting with them slightly less accessible for UK players.
Banking with HighBet: Banking Methods
HighBet's banking facilities are easy and secure. To deposit funds and to withdraw money, users are able to choose from a range of methods, similar to many other betting sites.

Does HighBet Have a Mobile App?
One glaring problem I encountered when using HighBet was their lack of a downloadable app through the Google Play or the AppStore. This isn't the most surprising discovery considering the gaps in the service that I'd already experienced, especially because the website has been optimised to work seamlessly with mobile browsers. Perhaps this is a tool that the company is currently developing to roll out for future growth, but as it stands, it's something which sets them back when compared to their competitors.
Responsible Gambling Features
HighBet do have responsible gambling tools that allow you to set limits on losses and deposits and they’ll also call you up if they all of a sudden notice a big increase in the amount you’re depositing, or the stakes you’re playing.
But what they don’t do such a good job of is promoting responsible gambling itself, so they could think about creating a Landing Page about it and discussing why it’s so important.
Is HighBet a Trustworthy and Safe Brand?
Yes, in addition to holding the most respected betting license - the one of the UK Gambling Commission - HighBet tick all the other boxes for a reliable and safe brand, including holding all the certificates for anti-fraud prevention and paying out winnings in a timely manner.

Our Experience Using HighBet
HighBet remind me of plenty of other Sportsbooks that are of a similar size and have been around for a similar amount of time: 3-5 years.
The welcome offer was generous enough and easy to claim, they have lots of sports to bet on and hundreds of markets within football, my personal favourite sport to bet on. I used Cash Out for some football and cricket bets and found that worked pretty well so that was a positive.
The odds could be better on some markets but this was the first bookie I’ve ever seen that allows you to combine Bet Builders (from nine different sports, no less) with either other Bet Builders, or singles from other events. So I had some fun playing those; well done to them for introducing that.
But as often happens with newer Sportsbooks, they’re lacking a few other features that are almost considered standard these days. Such as: numerous ongoing sports promos including free bets, Best Odds Guaranteed for horse racing, and live streaming. As it happens they do have a blog, but it’s all a bit basic at the moment just with a few football previews and slot reviews in there.
So all in all, there’s work to be done but the foundations are there for a decent Sportsbook and hopefully spending a little more time, money and effort will see them improve in a few areas over the next months.
