NetBet Key Sportsbook Features: What Makes Signing Up Worthwhile?
There’s plenty to like about this Sportsbook and there are some good features to be enjoyed here. These are some of the best of them.
Bet Builders aren’t just for football
At a lot of Sportsbooks, Bet Builders are available for football, allowing you to combine selections from lots of different markets and put them together in a same-game-acca. At NetBet not only can you place them on football as per usual but also on other sports such as basketball as well, and even a couple of others.
In-market scores and stats
You don’t need to leave the NetBet site in order to do your research on the next match you’re about to bet on. If you head to the match in question you’ll be able to study the head-to-head record, see who the teams’ top scorers are and look at how many goals on average both sides tend to score and concede, all to help you with your betting.
Top class for cricket betting
Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the UK to bet on but not all betting sites recognise that and many have very basic products. Not so NetBet, who cover just about every single professional match anywhere in the world and have all the player prop markets available such as top batsman, top bowler, certain players to score a 50 or 100 and Player of the Match betting.
In-Game Live Tips
Now here’s something you don’t see very often. When betting live on an event such as a tennis match, the Sportsbook will provide some tips based on stats to help you main your next betting choice. For example, one was that French tennis player Richard Gasquet had won all 12 matches in Montpellier after he won the first set, with similar observations available for other sports. Useful stuff indeed.
Esports fans will be happy
And why wouldn’t they be? League of Legends, Call of Duty, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike Go are just some of the matches you can bet on, both pre-match and in live betting, with plenty of markets to get stuck into.
You can even watch the action unfold thanks to the Twitch live feed of the game.
Sports You Can Bet On at NetBet
If you want to bet on an endless number of different sports, you’ve certainly come to the right place. At the time of writing, they had 45-50 different sports to bet on so something for everyone.
Among the most popular sports were:
- Football.
- Tennis.
- Cricket.
- Horse Racing.
- Basketball.
- Ice Hockey.
- Greyhound Racing.
In terms of the slightly more obscure sports, here are some of the ones on offer:
- Bandy.
- Floorball.
- Biathlon.
- Futsal.
- Pelota.
- Nascar racing.
- Gaelic Football.

What Betting Markets are Available at NetBet?
So that’s the sports but there’s a huge number of different betting markets within those sports. Here are some of the ones to look forward to.
Corners and Cards Betting
Gone are the days when betting on football was just about the match winner, the correct score or which player scored the first goal. Betting on cards and corners, both across the whole match and for each of the two teams is now a pretty standard one and a market that can reward those who really crunch the stats.
Favourite Betting
It may seem a bit odd to bet on the favourite of a horse race or greyhound race without knowing who the favourite is going to be or what odds they’re going to go off at. But some people want to do their betting that way and here, they can.
Handicaps
Handicaps allow bookies to make a game of football, tennis, snooker, baseball, basketball or just about any other sport into a 50/50 affair even if one of them is a red-hot favourite when it comes to pre-match betting with normal odds. Being able to decide which side of the handicap you want to be on means you get close to even money, irrespective of which of the two that is, so it’s a very simple market to play.
Each-Way Betting
If you think a horse, greyhound or golfer might go close, especially if it’s at big odds but not necessarily win, then an each-way bet could be a good option. So if you backed a horse each way, half of your stake would be on it to win, the other half to place. If it was placed you’d be paid out at the relevant ‘place’ odds; if it won, you’d be paid out at the full win odds, too.
NetBet Pros and Cons
We’ve covered some of the pros of NetBet and we’ll talk about some more of those in due course, but there are also some cons to consider. Here’s a summary of them.
Positives
- Excellent for cricket betting
- Plenty of useful in-market content
- Great for Esports betting.
- Cover sports other bookies don’t offer.
- Strong Bet Builder product, including sports other than football.
Negatives
- Live streaming only for Esports.
- No Best Odds Guaranteed for horse racing.
- Limited ongoing promotions.
Banking With NetBet
NetBet offers a good choice of payment options for you to get your money in and out of the site which is important as different customers have different preferences and needs. We’re big fans of Paypal and Skrill here at Betting Odds as these methods are quick, easy to use and offer greater anonymity than other methods. But as we said, there should be something for everyone.
NetBet Deposit Methods
Paysafecard is another good option for the same reasons already stated for PayPal and Skrill and unlike Google Pay, you can use it for withdrawals as well as deposits, so it’s one of the ones we also recommend.
Deposit Method | Fee | Processing Time | Limits |
---|---|---|---|
Visa | None | Instant | £10 / £50,000 |
PayPal | None | Instant | £10 / £10,000 |
Paysafecard | None | Instant | £10 / £1,000 |
Google Pay | None | Instant | £10 / £10,000 |
Payz | None | Instant | £10 / £10,000 |
Wire Transfer | None | 1-5 Business Days | £10 / £10,000 |
Neteller | None | Instant | £10 / £10,000 |
Skrill | None | Instant | £10 / £10,000 |
NetBet Withdrawal Methods
NetBet says that when it comes to withdrawals, they’re ‘free up to specified amounts’ but they don’t specify what those amounts are. If there are fees, they should be very clear upfront what those specified amounts are and we also feel they shouldn’t be charging any fees at all to begin with. So that’s a couple of black marks to their name, we’re afraid.
Withdrawal Method | Fee | Processing Time | Limits |
---|---|---|---|
Visa | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £40,000 |
PayPal | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £5,000 |
Paysafecard | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £1,000 |
Payz | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £10,000 |
Wire Transfer | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £10,000 |
Trustly | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £10,000 |
Apple Pay | Free up to specified amounts | 2-48 hours | £10 / £10,000 |
Does NetBet have a mobile app?
Yes, you can download the NetBet betting app whether you have an iOS or Android phone. Both work pretty well and are probably in line with the industry average for betting apps. The big advantages of having the app is that you can bet from anywhere as long as you have your phone and that you can receive notifications about promos straight to the app, so it’s worth downloading.
Is NetBet a Trustworthy and Safe Brand?
One thing we always say about betting companies is that if they’ve been around for a long time, you can probably trust them. And with this one being around since 2001, it’s certainly the case. After all, if their reputation has been affected by endless customer complaints or other bad press, they’re not going to still be in business. Additionally, they hold the two most respected gambling licences so that’s another tick for them to be considered a trustworthy brand.

NetBet Customer Service Options
At the moment, you can only get in touch with their Customer Service team by filling out a form with your query, and providing your email address in the process. That’s not great because that will inevitably take longer than real-time methods such as phone or Live Chat. They do have a decent FAQ section and they also have an AI-powered Live Chat (rather than speaking to an agent), which is better than nothing. But having tried it out, it’s a bit hit-and-miss, as you’d expect. We seriously urge NetBet to up their game when it comes to offering more and better methods to contact them.

Our Experience Using NetBet
NetBet are one of the more interesting Sportsbooks I’ve reviewed of late. By that, I mean that in some ways you can tell they’re a betting site that has been around for well over 20 years, whereas in other ways, they haven’t really kept up with the times.
The welcome offer is a good value-for-money one, albeit a bit restraining in that you can only use it on Bet Builders. I was impressed with the range of sports offered, the variety of markets, the amount of Esports you can bet on and particularly happy with their cricket product. As a big cricket betting fan, it was good to see them cover so many different competitions and offer all my favourite markets, such as top bowler and Player of the Match.
Another thing they do well is have some great on-site content including stats, live betting tips and graphic representations of what’s going on in the match.
But there are areas where they can improve. They have no live streaming at present, promos are a bit unimaginative and infrequent (including not having Best Odds Guaranteed) and Customer Service is limited to filling out a form or hoping that their FAQs or AI-powered Live Chat can answer your queries. That’s not always the case.
So there’s room for improvement, and these are all relatively quick fixes for a betting site that’s obviously done a lot right to be around for so long and will surely be around for much longer.
