Back in November 2017 Steve Lovell was appointed the permanent manager of Gillingham following a spell in caretaker charge. However, he was axed in April 2019.
Lovell then returned to the club as caretaker in January 2022 following the departure of Steve Evans. He oversaw four games before making way for Neil Harris.
