Jorge Sampaoli was most recently in charge of French side Rennes, where he took charge of just 10 matches.
Sampaoli previously managed Chile between 2012 and 2016, leading his troops through to the last-16 of the 2014 World Cup - where they lost to hosts Brazil - before memorably hoisting the Copa America in 2015 for the first time in the country's history.
The Argentine, who was nominated for the 2015 Fifa Coach of the Year, has frequently been linked with a move to the Premier League, most recently with Chelsea, but for the time being he remains out of work.
The energetic and explosive tactician favours a high-pressing, aggressive, possession-based approach to the beautiful game, something he used to devastating effect with Chile.
