However, the tenure proved to be short-lived one, just 120 days, as Neville was sent packing following a rotten run of form.
Neville's pride may have taken a momentary battering, but by no means is this the last we'll see from the 41-year-old in the managerial arena. The former Man Utd and England defender will be determined to bounce back from what has been a tough induction into the chaotic, and ruthless, world of football management.
