Wolves vs Liverpool Prediction, Odds and Betting Tips: Back this 16/1 cards double
Wolves and Liverpool clash at Molineux on Saturday evening in the Premier League, live on Sky Sports at 5.30pm.
Tom Winch has previewed the match and provided his best bets below, featuring a 16/1 double in the cards market.
Wolves vs Liverpool Predictions
The home side have started the season disappointingly having earned a single point from their opening five matches. Arne Slot has begun life in Liverpool in decent fashion with six wins from seven in all competitions - another victory is expected on Saturday.
Luis Diaz has recorded 13 shots, with 8 hitting the target across 361 minutes of Premier League football this term. The Colombian is electric and is always looking to go forward. Diaz scored twice against Bournemouth last weekend. I’m confident he can replicate his fine performances against a lacklustre Wolves side.
You could back any of Liverpool’s offensive players to find the back of the net: Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, and Federico Chiesa are all of high quality. Few sides in world football possess the attacking options of the Reds. Diaz has been excellent and is arguably the most in-form forward at the club right now.
Diaz is relentless. He’s a constant runner and can give any fullback a torrid time. I expect him to operate from the left-hand side in the Liverpool front line. Nelson Semedo is in for a tough evening. The Portuguese international was sent for an early bath the last time these two teams met.
Wolves just haven’t started the season well. Yes, they have had a tricky start, making their position in the table worse than it may seem. Confidence levels can’t be high throughout the squad. Facing a rampant Liverpool side won’t fill them with much hope whatsoever.
Backing the Colombian to find the back of the net seems a sensible angle to consider. Liverpool are heavy favourites in this encounter. Don’t be surprised if they score three or four on Saturday evening. Arne Slot will demand an impressive performance from his players. Diaz is the man to look out for as he will look to continue his fine start to the season.

I’m dipping into the player card market for my longer odds selection. There’s a player from either club who look like a good bet to pick up a caution. The pair has received five bookings in the Premier League this season.
Let’s start with the Algerian. Rayan Ait Nouri has been consistent in the foul market this season. The Wolves man has committed ten fouls, with two arriving in all five matches. He’s forward-thinking and isn’t afraid to lunge into challenges. The number three has received three yellow cards this season, the joint most in the top-flight.
Salah is a player who many clubs could dream of having. He’s a consistent threat down the right. The Egyptian is deceivingly strong. Rayan is in for a battle, and I’m confident Salah and his teammates can give the Wolves defence plenty of problems.
Ryan Gravenberch has started life emphatically under Arne Slot. Liverpool were desperate to find a holding midfielder over the summer. The former Bayern Munich player has impressed and silenced many critics in the early stages. There are tougher tests to come, but there should be little complaints from all involved.
Liverpool’s holding midfielder has been busy. Ryan has won eight fouls whilst committing ten of his own this season. The Brazilian trio of Joao Gomes, Andre and Matheus Cunha are impressive. The latter two draw plenty of fouls in central areas of the pitch. Ryan will be tasked with keeping things ticking and not allowing any counterattacks.
Backing Rayan and Ryan to pick up a yellow card has a good chance. The players are likely to be busy throughout the contest. It’ll be something enjoyable to cheer on at appealing odds.
