West Ham vs. Leeds Betting Tips: Big Sam's side to pick up positive result in the capital

Leeds travel to West Ham on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League as Sam Allardyce looks to steer his side to safety with just two games of the season remaining. We’ve called upon the expertise of Anthony Eadson to provide us with two value bets for the occasion.
It was a historic night for West Ham on Thursday as The Hammers reached their first European final since 1976. With their Premier League status secured, West Ham are now the 8/11 favourites with most trusted betting sites to go on and lift the trophy in the final that takes place in Prague on 7 June 2023.
After taking the lead, going behind and having a man sent off, Leeds will have been pleased to come away with a point in their 2-2 draw with Newcastle last Saturday. Heading into the weekend, Leeds remain inside the relegation zone in 18th, one point behind Everton in 17th and three behind Nottingham Forest in 16th.
West Ham vs Leeds Tips
The first bet I’ll be siding with on Sunday is Leeds to Win or Draw the game (Double Chance) and for Rodrigo to commit one or more fouls. At the time of writing 11/10 is available using the Paddy Power Bet Builder.
I really fancy Leeds to get something in the capital. I thought they showed a good amount of fight against a strong Newcastle side last Saturday lunchtime and if they show those levels again I see no reason why they can’t pick up a positive result.
Last weekend after West Ham’s Thursday night Europa Conference League game, David Moyes made 10 changes for the trip to Brentford where they lost 2-0. After their triumph over AZ Alkmaar in Holland on Thursday, I’m expecting a similar story with plenty of rotation and a bit of a hangover after celebrating.
Leeds Double Chance pays just 1/2 on Paddy Power, but by adding in Rodrigo to commit 1+ foul it takes us up to a very backable 11/10. The Brazilian gave away three fouls last week against Newcastle and three in his most recent start prior to that. Rodrigo is just the type of player Big Sam will want on his side in this relegation battle and he should be well up for it again here.
I’ve also had a little tickle on Leeds to win the game and Weston McKennie to be carded. As I’ve mentioned above, West Ham will not have arrived back in England until Friday, giving them significantly less time to prepare for this game than the visitors.
With Spurs on the final day of the season it is now or never for Leeds if they are to keep their top-flight status and I expect them to pick up a good few cards at The London Stadium.
Weston McKennie is the player on my radar for a booking from referee Peter Bankes. Since his arrival in West Yorkshire, Mckennie has made 17 league appearances and has been shown a yellow card in seven of those. Digging a bit deeper, he has been carded in five of his nine away matches and combining him with Leeds to win the match pays 9/1, again with Paddy Power.
