This pair had contrasting midweek Championship outings: hosts West Brom had Michael Johnston and Andreas Weimann to thank for their goals in a 2-0 home victory over Cardiff City, while the travelling Southampton were stumped to a first loss for 25 matches after making the trip to Bristol City.
Both of these teams sit inside the play-off places, with Saints dropping down from the second automatic spot following Tuesday's loss and Albion now 12 points safe from Hull City in 7th. But despite being 12 points behind in the standings, there isn't an awful lot to separate these two in the match result market with BetMGM, who go 39/20 for a home win and 11/8 for Southampton to scoop up all three points.
West Brom vs Southampton Tips
Adam Armstrong netted a consolation goal for Saints midweek, letting off six shots, two of which hit the target. That means that only Sammie Szmodics has now outperformed Armstrong's tally of 16 in the division, with the 27-year-old hot on the heels of the Championship top scorer who sits in front on 17.
With recent games against top-level opposition in Ipswich and Leicester seeing four and three goals respectively at The Hawthorns, Southampton can have success here, especially having beaten them 2-1 at St. Mary's, with Adam Armstrong bagging just before the 80th minute mark to ultimately secure maximum points.
Since joining WBA on loan until the end of the season he's netted two goals in four matches, providing a late strike to secure the win over Cardiff on Tuesday - his second time of notching at The Hawthorns.
Albion have been a force to be reckoned with at home this term under Carlos Corberan, winning 11 of 16, including five on the spin. They've also only failed to score in two on home soil, meanwhile, Saints have shipped six in their last two matches to inferior opposition than Friday's counterparts.
