West Brom vs. Fulham Predictions: Fulham look to press on to the Premier League on Tuesday night
On Tuesday evening, West Brom welcome table topping Fulham to The Hawthorns, live on Sky Sports. The ambition for the Baggies now has to be a late push for the play offs ahead of the run in come the end of the season. Steve Bruce’s side currently occupy 14th place, but are 7 points adrift of the top 6 with 10 games to play.
West Brom vs. Fulham Tips
West Brom were winless in Bruce’s first 5 games in charge and looked dead and buried for the season, but 4 points from their previous 2 games suggests he has this squad fighting until the end. They came back from 2-0 down Vs a strong Huddersfield side on Friday to snatch a late point, In a game where Andy Carroll managed to score his first goal in a West Brom shirt. A win here for the hosts could act as a turning point for Bruce and his side, but that’s easier said than done considering the opposition.
Fulham drew 1-1 with relegation threatened Barnsley in their last outing, a game which Marco Silva will feel his side should’ve came away victorious. A fortunate penalty put Barnsley ahead before Harry Wilson produced a moment of brilliance to secure a point, however it could’ve been more as he missed a golden chance not long after. Fulham sit 12 points clear of second place Bournemouth despite playing 2 games more. A win here for the travelling side will see them hit 80 points as they look increasingly likely to return to the top flight.
All things considered I do feel the the odds against quotes for Fulham to come away victorious here are a touch too generous.
Despite a slight change of form for Bruce’s side, they looked far from convincing defensively Vs Huddersfield and the attacking power Fulham have should shine through. No one has collected more away points this season than Marco Silva's side, and West Brom have not registered a home win in their last 4. The home fans are understandably yet to side with their new manager, and if Fulham produce anything close to their best, 14th place West Brom should struggle to cope with The Cottagers.
Using 365 gives us early payout if Fulham do go 2 goals ahead at any point of the match.
Of Course this is a huge long shot at massive odds, but I do feel it has some legs. What a time for it to land in-front of the cameras!
Mitrovic and Andy Carroll are vocal points to both sides and are both known for loving the physical side of the game, leading to cards.
Mitrovic is already on 35 league goals, and has been cautioned on 7 occasions this season. Andy Carroll got off the mark in his last outing and has always a decent card record when he manages the minutes. One season at West Ham he was booked 7 times in 16 games.
Kevin Friend is usually a Premier League official, so he will be aware of both of these players history during their time in the top flight. This game should have a good edge to it, and if the favourites to score can notch then with a bit of luck, our long-shot may go close.
