Wales vs. Belgium Predictions: Two bets for Nations League clash in Cardiff

The Nations League fixtures are popping up more frequently than Love Island bombshells right now, with Wales and Belgium in action at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday night. Below we pick out two bets for the Group A4 clash…
Wales vs. Belgium Tips
Wales may have booked a prized place at the 2022 World Cup, but when it comes to the Nations League they are pointless at the foot of Group A4 following defeats to Netherlands and Poland.
Both losses came late, with Poland scoring an 85th minute winner in a 2-1 victory, while Netherlands triumphed by the same scoreline in the 94th minute after Wales had seemingly rescued a draw two minutes earlier.
Next up is a home match against Belgium, who have three points on the board from two matches: the former World No.1 side suffered a shock 4-1 defeat to rivals Netherlands in their opening game but bounced back with a 6-1 thumping of Poland meaning they are in 2nd spot, three points adrift of Holland and level on points with Poland.
Belgium make the trip over to the Welsh capital as the 5/6 favourites for the spoils, Wales are 16/5 to shock Belgium - as they have famously done in the past - while a draw is available at 11/4.
Belgium were far from their best against Netherlands, however poor Poland then experienced the wrath of Roberto Martinez’s men who fired six past them in a heavy 6-1 defeat; they were even without their record goalscorer Romelu Lukaku whose injury means he’ll also miss the Wales match.
Goalscorer Kevin De Bruyne seemed to recapture his hunger for the Nations League after previously slamming, while Brighton’s Leandro Trossard was in electric form, bagging a brace from the bench.
Belgium are priced at 5/6 to back up the pummelling of Poland with another win, which I fully expect them to do in Cardiff on Saturday night. The Red Devils have, of course, come unstuck against these very opponents in the past - don’t mention Euro 2016 - and while Wales can draw on an impressive home record, Belgium’s cluster of stars and return of their attacking swagger means that the home goal could be in for a pounding on Saturday night.
As stated in the above section, we’re backing Belgium to win this one, but for this second bet we like the look of the visitors at a boosted 10/3 - from 29/10 - with William Hill to be victorious and both teams to score.
Belgium have remarkably scored in each of their last 46 consecutive matches - dating back four years - which includes all 14 of their Nations League games. Their two group games to date in 2022 have been absolutely jam-packed with goals - 12 (7 scored, 5 conceded) - while their last three head-to-heads with Wales have seen both teams score.
Wales have scored and conceded in six of their last seven matches in all competitions, with both of their Nations League group games this summer 2-1 defeats. On home soil, Rob Page’s men win definitely fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet against an ageing defence that have conceded in seven of their last eight games - with the one clean sheet at home to Burkina Faso.
