Swansea City vs. Fulham Predictions: Mitrovic to score and be carded in Wales

Fulham took another step towards promotion back to the Premier League on Saturday with a comfortable 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva’s side have just 12 games remaining to secure a return back to the top-flight, and with odds of just 1/16 available for them to lift the Championship title, you’d be a brave man to back against the Cottagers going up.

After a tremendous 3-1 victory against Coventry last weekend it’s now back-to-back wins for Swansea. This good run of form may have come just a little late for the Swans to mount a play-off challenge, but with Michael Obafemi having scored four goals in his last six games, they do have the ability to trouble the league leaders.

It’s very likely that Russell Martin will name an unchanged side for the visit of Fulham on Tuesday. Hannes Wolf missed the match with Coventry at the weekend for personal reasons and will most probably be absent again for Tuesday’s game.

Terence Kongolo and Tom Cairney are the only injury concerns for Fulham and Marco Silva, with Nathaniel Chalobah potentially returning to the side as the only change to the side that beat Blackburn.

With attacking talents such as Harry Wilson, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Fabio Carvalho, this Fulham side have excelled this season and look almost nailed on to be playing Premier League football next year. Fulham didn’t have to get out of first gear to beat Blackburn, and following up with another win in Wales looks favourable. The Serbian leads the way for both goals and yellow cards for Fulham this season and currently has a remarkable 34 goals in just 32 games to his name in the Championship.

The 27-year-old has been named the WhoScored.com man of the match on 11 occasions in the Championship in 2021/2022, but also has seven yellow cards in 32 appearances. This selection of him scoring and being carded in the game has actually landed in three of his last six in the league, against Blackpool, Middlesbrough and most recently, Cardiff.
