Sunderland vs. Blackburn Betting Tips: Back Diallo to continue hot streak at the Stadium of Light

Sunderland take on Blackburn live on Sky Sports on Boxing Day with the game kicking-off at 12:30 lunchtime. Here at BettingOdds, we’ve previewed the game and provided you with two tips we like the look of.

Since returning from the World Cup break Sunderland have played three matches and have won one, drawn one and lost one. Their most recent result was a 1-1 draw away at Hull, with the Black Cats finding an equaliser through Ross Stewart after Elliot Embleton was sent off 15 minutes into the second half. Sunderland are currently 13th in the table, but due to the tight nature of the Championship they could go as high as 6th with a win here on Boxing day.

Blackburn will face former manager Tony Mowbray at the Stadium of Light and Rovers currently occupy third in the table and have remarkably still not drawn a single match this season, despite playing 23 games. After two really disappointing defeats to local rivals Burnley and Preston, Blackburn bounced back with a 2-0 win at Carrow Road to keep themselves in the hunt for promotion.

Taking a look at the match result odds and bookmakers are offering Sunderland to collect the three points at 13/10. The draw can be backed at 23/10, while a win for the visitors can be taken at 11/5.
