Sunday Football Tips: Three players to be carded in 272/1 acca
Sunday looks an absolute belter in the Premier League with four matches taking place at kick-off times varying from 2pm through to Everton vs Manchester United at 7pm which can be seen live on BT Sport.
We’ve picked out three players who we think look good value in the betting markets to pick up a card this weekend. The three combine for a treble which pays 272/1, so we’ll be advising a trixie, meaning it will be profit should two of the three selections land.
Acca Tips
First up we are off to the London Stadium where West Ham take on Fulham at 2pm. No player was carded more for the Hammers last season than Declan Rice with eight, and we are therefore surprised to see him on offer at 5/1 with bet365 to find his way into the book on Sunday.
This week the West Ham captain spoke about the busy schedule he has faced over the last year or so, stating: “From June to June I played 68 games, that’s an obscene amount of games. Every game I go into I walk off and I’m knackered”. With this in mind, I think there’s potential for Rice to increase his card collecting before the World Cup with one eye on not getting injured and preserving his fitness. The midfielder has already been shown two yellows in eight matches so far in 2022/2023 and he’s our number one target for this London derby with Fulham.
The pick of the fixtures on Sunday looks to be Arsenal against Liverpool at the Emirates. Two teams who have had contrasting starts to the campaign with Arsenal top of the pile heading into the weekend, while Liverpool find themselves 11 points behind the leaders at this early stage.
Arsenal’s William Saliba has been earning plenty of plaudits for his performances so far this term, but he’s also been shown three yellow cards in his last four matches. Up against Mo Salah and Luis Diaz in this fixture, again we think bet365 have got this selection priced up a little bigger than what it should be with a generous looking 6/1 on show for him to make it four bookings in his last five.
The final selection in this trixie is in the evening kick-off as Everton take on Manchester United. This game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday lunchtime, but with United playing Europa League matches either side of this game, and BT not being allowed to clash with Sky’s offerings, it’s now been switched to 7pm Sunday.
Anthony Gordon is a player we are expecting to come back into the starting XI for the Toffees after being benched last week due to illness. Gordon has already equalled his tally of four yellow cards last season, with four in just seven top-flight starts this campaign. No other player has been cautioned more in 2022/2023 for Everton than the 21-year-old who should be bang up for it, in what should be a lively atmosphere at Goodison against United.
Bet365 are currently best-priced on all three of these players to be carded on Sunday with Gordon rounding off the trio at 11/2. The three combine for a 272/1 treble, but please remember we’ll be recommending playing a trixie here.
Please gamble responsibly.
