Sudan vs Guinea-Bissau Odds: Another 1-0 win in the early stages of AFCON qualifying?

Sudan vs Guinea-Bissau Odds: Can the Djurtus get over the line in Group D?
Sudan vs Guinea-Bissau Odds: Can the Djurtus get over the line in Group D?

Tuesday sees an evening kick off at the Stade Ominisport Roumde in Cameroon. Sudan take on Guinea-Bissau in a repeat of their CAF WC qualifiers. Those ended in a 0-0 draw in Guinea-Bissau and a 4-2 win in Sudan for the Bissau-Guineans. We've asked our Yorkshire jack of all trades OddsTerrier to study the game and pick out two bets that may be of interest.

The betting for this game is looking fairly tight. Guinea-Bissau are slight favourites at 6/4, the draw is next in the betting at 15/8 and the Sudanese are the longest price at 13/5. This should be a very competitive affair as shown in the two previous games between these nations. Both teams are out of the top 100 FIFA ranked teams in the world so this could be a game that is lacking in real quality and star players.

Guinea-Bissau who entered the tournament as 200/1 outsiders have two UK based players: Panutche Camara (Plymouth Argyle) and Fernandy Mendy (Alloa Athletic) whilst Sudan were the rank 500/1 outsiders and are primarily a squad with home based players.

Sudan vs Guinea-Bissau Tips

Today's Football Tips
Guinea-Bissau to win
6/4
Odds correct as of 2022-01-11 11:20 Odds subject to change.

First up we've gone for the match market and have plumped for the 106th ranked team in the world to beat the 125th. The Djurtus have already beaten the Falcons of Jediane in WC qualification and we expect them to repeat that here. Sudan are winless in their last 11 and whilst Guinea-Bissau are no world beaters they should have enough to get over the line here.

Guinea-Bissau to win 1-0
26/5
Odds correct as of 2022-01-11 11:20 Odds subject to change.

Next up we have entered the correct score market and looking at the early results from the first 2 days of the AFCON then there is only one selection that makes sense. Five out of six games have ended in a 1-0 scoreline and we think this is also likely to be a low scoring affair. Their last head to head ended scoreless and the Guinea-Bissau squad have had a Covid infection so won't be at full strength. With that in mind we like the 26/5 on offer for a 1-0 result to the Bissau-Guineans.

As always if you follow these picks then good luck and gamble responsibly.
