Spurs vs Vitesse Odds: Back Conte to get off to a winning start

Live on BT Sport, Antonio Conte’s reign as Tottenham manager gets underway as they welcome Vitesse to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Pre tournament favourites Tottenham will be seeking revenge after falling short 1-0 last time out in Holland. Spurs head into this fixture as short as 2/9, with the away side coming in around 12/1. Tottenham currently occupy third spot in the group but a win here would see them leapfrog the Dutch side.
Spurs vs Vitesse Tips
- Tottenham-1 Handicap @ 8/11 – Bet365
- Tottenham to win, Tottenham most corners, and Vitesse most cards @ 7/4 – PaddyPower
- Tottenham to score 1+ Goals in each half, to have 3+ corners in each half and Vitesse 1+ cards in each half @ 12/1 – PaddyPower
The appointment of the Italian would have surely flipped the mood in the Tottenham camp. Conte will look to implement his famous 3-5-2 straight off the back, a formation which has seen him win multiple domestic trophies in Italy and England.
Vitesse of course come into this as the underdogs and will be looking to recreate the performance of last week, but will be up against it considering they have lost all 3 of their away games to English sides in previous years.
A lot of uncertainty around who Conte starts with here, but Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon are ruled out with hamstring injuries.
I’m expecting the new manager bounce to come into full force for this fixture and I am more than happy to get spurs on side to win by two or more goals.
They have won both of their games in Europe this season by 3 or more goals, and have won 5 out of 7 games on home soil. Spurs need a win here if they are looking to progress out of the group and should field a strong enough side to secure a comfortable win.
Sticking along the lines of a comfortable Tottenham victory, I always feel there is some value in this market.
If Spurs are to dominate here then I expect them to win the corner count. They should be at it from the get go and with everyone looking to impress, corners should come along with a positive Spurs performance.
As for the cards, Vitesse have picked up 3 and 4 cards in their last 2 games in this competition. Spurs did pick up 4 last time out vs Vitesse, but have only been cautioned twice outside of that. Being the away side I fancy them to beat Spurs on the card count here.
Following on from the last bet I’m once again getting Spurs onside along with the Vitesse cards but at a larger price. This same bet is 7/1 with Bet365 so a nice price with PaddyPower. It’s tough to call who will start for Tottenham so I am happy to play this market once again.
Vitesse have picked up at least one card in both halves of their last 3 fixtures including the reverse vs Tottenham.
A bit of luck with the corners and hopefully we can let this 12/1 shot give us a run for our money Thursday evening.
