Spurs vs Brentford Odds: Tipster J picks out three tips for this Premier league clash

A well-rested Tottenham Hotspur side welcome Brentford to North London Thursday evening, live on Amazon Prime Video. Conte’s men had the week off after heavy snow caused the postponement of their match vs Burnley, whilst Brentford managed a 1-0 win vs Everton thanks to an Ivan Toney penalty.
Spurs will be looking to make it back to back wins in the Premier league under their new manager but are coming into this fixture off the back of a loss – an embarrassing 2-1 defeat at the helm of NS Mura in the European Conference League which shows there is work to do for Antonio Conte's men.
Brentford’s bubble seem to have burst as they went winless in 5 before beating Everton on the weekend. A run that has seen them slip into mid table, but still occupy 11th place with a respectable 16 points after 13 matches in the top flight. Just one away defeat all season for Thomas Franks men will give them confidence they can get a result here at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Team News:
Spurs remain without Argentine duo Cristian Romero and Giovanni Lo Celso, so Conte is likely to name same 11 that should have played Vs Burnley.
The away side are without Kristoffer Ajer, David Raya and Josh da Silva – an unchanged 11 may also be on the cards for Brentford.
Both teams to score looks generously priced here at 10/11 and given both teams defensive woes I’d favour this instead of either blanking.
Both teams have scored in 8 of Brentford’s last 9 games and data suggests they will get chances Thursday night. Only Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool better the Bees for expected goals in league the season, and considering Tottenham have conceded in 14 of their last 16 I fancy it to cop again. However Brentford have conceded 17 in their last 9 games, so you would expect Spurs to be able to notch given the added preparation ahead of this fixture.
Skipp is set to play alongside Hoijberg and he certainly looks overpriced for a card. He’s returning from a suspension after already collecting five yellows this campaign, showing he isn’t unfamiliar with the referees book. Five cards in 12 league appearances means he has been booked in 42% of his Premier league games, the 4/1 on offer implies a 20% chance this bet lands which is does not seem right to me. He averages the 2nd most fouls per game in the Spurs squad, and ranks 4th for most tackles per game - should be kept busy vs a high energy Brentford side.
After watching Reguilon in Conte's opener vs Leeds I can’t help but have a play on this anytime goal scorer price. The Italian manager's emphasis on the full backs getting forward should see the output of the wing backs increase, and after the formers' goal vs Leeds I feel it’s only a matter of time his teammate does the same.
He didn’t get chance to pull the trigger as such vs Leeds, but was in and around the box often, and could’ve been slipped in on numerous occasions. With a bit of luck with the ball falling to him, I’m happy to punt on this 14/1 AGS outsider for some added interest on Thursday.
