Southampton vs Leicester Odds: Vardy and Maddison to cause havoc again

We have a raft of Premier League games being played across the midweek and all are being streamed exclusively live on Amazon Prime Video. Wednesday night sees an intriguing clash between Southampton and Leicester City and we've analysed the markets and provided you with two betting opportunities for the game.
Both teams enter this game on identical form from their last six Premier League games - each winning three, drawing one and losing two and will be hoping to continue moving slowly up the table. Southampton had a tough ask last time out vs red-hot Liverpool and will be hoping to arrest a two game losing streak. Leicester on the other hand were raining goals in freak snowy conditions at the King Power, dispatching Watford 4-2 and looking like their free scoring selves again.
We've picked out two selections we expect to happen at St Mary's, a 7/4 shot and a longer odds selection at 4/1.
First up we've got Leicester hit-man Jamie Vardy. After what, by his standards, is a lean patch of shots(3) and goals(0) in his last four games, Vardy burst back into form at the weekend taking five shots, four of which were on target and netting two of them.
Vardy averages 2.38 shots per game for the season and 1.23 of these hit the target. With Vardy, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes all linking up and looking back to their best there should be chances aplenty for Vardy and he's certainly no shrinking violet when it comes to pulling the trigger. The 7/4 at William Hill for 2+ shots on target looks a nice price - he's as short as 5/6 at stingy Paddy Power.
I've already mentioned Jamie Vardy's accomplice and James Maddison is in fantastic fettle at present, reaching the kind of highs that saw him regularly included in the English national squad. He's been directly involved in five goals in Leicester's last two games and it's highly likely he will strike again here. I like the 4/1 on offer at Betfair and Paddy Power for him to register an assist.
You could even combine the two selections above if you fancy a longshot poke. It pays a little over 8/1 at Paddy Power.
