Sierra Leone vs. Equatorial Guinea Prediction: Expect stalemate in this cagey Group E clash

Sierra Leone vs. Equatorial Guinea: Can Sierra Leone pick up another draw to take them to the last 16?
Sierra Leone vs. Equatorial Guinea: Can Sierra Leone pick up another draw to take them to the last 16?

Group E concludes on Thursday afternoon in the Africa Cup of Nations and there is all to play for. We've asked OddsTerrier to cover this clash between 2nd placed Equatorial Guinea and 3rd placed Sierra Leone and pick out two tips for your analysis.

This looks like another close game here. Equatorial Guinea are very slight favourites to win at 81/50. The draw is next in the betting at 17/10 and Sierra Leone are 57/20. Neither of these sides have clinched qualification yet but will be hopeful of qualifying if Ivory Coast beat Algeria in the other group game.

Both sides will be picking from full squads for this fixture. Equatorial Guinea will probably start Jesus Owono in the nets after impressing with a clean sheet against Algeria.

Sierra Leone vs. Equatorial Guinea Tips

Match Result - Draw
17/10
Odds correct as of 2022-01-20 10:10 Odds subject to change.

First up we've got a selection in the match result market. Both sides will be extremely cautious here as neither are guaranteed to progress to the 2nd round. They will have half an eye on the other Group E clash between Ivory Coast and Algeria and should the current holders fail to win that match, then a draw here will likely see both teams progress to the latter stages. Sierra Leone have drawn both their opening games and Equatorial Guinea have seen their games decided by just a one goal margin so that again points to an even, cagey affair.

Double Result - Draw/Draw
11/4
Odds correct as of 2022-01-20 10:10 Odds subject to change.

With no player prop markets really standing out here I am going to double-down on the draw and take the Draw/Draw in the Half Time / Full Time market (often referred to as the double result). I see neither team running away with this and it could be a case of wait and see what happens in the other group match. The bet looks value at 11/4 and I'm happy to take it on.

If you decide to take on these bets then good luck and please game responsibly.
